Henry goes for a walk in the woods

Henry went for a lovely in the woods today.

He took his trusty hound Sherlock (yes Humphrey has been renamed...seems Henry is now a Sherlock fan!  We also remembered that Bobby has a guinea pig called Humphrey,,,)

They saw lots of acorns on the ground.

Over the bridge.

Sherlock seems to have smelt something...

Henry has found some fungi and stops to see if he can identify it.

Oh look a little slug on one of them.

Well spotted Henry.

It really was the most perfect morning for a walk in the woods.

  1. What a lovely walk for Henry and Sherlock! It looks like perfect Autumn weather. I'm glad that Henry found some acorns, I was wondering if he'd find any conkers....if not, then maybe next time! Boys generally do love conkers! I like Henry's boots, they're the perfect footwear for walking in woods! Don't let the dog eat or lick the slug Henry, they're very dangerous to dogs I believe!!

    1. It was a fabulous morning indeed. No conkers but plenty of chestnuts. We just have to go down the road to get conkers ;-) The boots are great aren't they? Perfect for muddy wood walks. Don't worry the dog stayed well away from the fungi and slugs.

Super to think that you have such good company when you are out walking your little dog too.

    1. The woods are beautiful Kendal and I love going there. There is always 'someone' with me, even if just a 'tiny' pocket companion.
