I thought I would try a little sewing today to keep me distracted from my son's imminent departure for another three months.
I paced myself today and although am now sore, not as sore as I have been so hopefully with a quiet sit down this afternoon before we go up to the airport the pain will ease up.
I'm a bit annoyed that I machine hemmed this skirt. I usually hand hem when I can, but I had no suitable matching thread so thought I would machine hem it as a contrast. Perhaps it just needs a bit more of a press. Or I may just undo it and try and get some matching thread to hand sew it. Otherwise I am really pleased with how this has turned out and think the colour suits Victoria really well. The little collar is detachable.
Victoria is so beautiful.
The colour suits her perfectly and I love the design, I'm sure Victoria is over the moon with her new dress.
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle, yes she seems very pleased with it.
DeleteVictoria is truly beautiful and her new dress emphasizes the colour of her eyes. Perfect!

It does indeed. I was't sure who I was making it for - but when I needed a model, Victoria called out to me.
DeleteI think the dress looks lovely on Victoria, it really suits her. I do like this pattern, I'm going to use it again soon I think. I didn't hand sew my hem either, I got lazy!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that your sore but hope it'll soon be better. I hope your son has a safe journey back to his ship, and that the time he's away will pass quickly.
Hugs Sharon x
It is a lovely pattern - glad to hear I am not the only 'lazy' one! ;-)
DeleteA few tears shed this evening at the airport!
A lovely new dress for this very beautiful doll. Lucky Victoria.
ReplyDeleteShe is the perfect example of a really pretty English Sasha Doll with her long blonde hair and blue eyes.
