It is just too wet and damp to take photos outside at the moment so having to make do with inside photos of the girls in their winter clothing.
Susan chose to wear this combination. The sweater and hat was a lovely gift sent to me a couple of years ago made by Margaret. The skirt I made a couple of years ago and the shoes are of course JJ Shoes.
Weaver has been seen in this before outside in the garden with Stevie but wanted some indoor photos taken as well. I am not convinced by the tights but she thinks they look good so who am I to say otherwise...having no idea of young girls fashions nowadays.
The top is by Bev, the cardigan/jacket I knitted a couple of years ago, the skirt by Sashapotamus, tights from Michelle and boots by Lisa.
Stevie's skirt arrived last week and she has kept her purple sweater and hat on which were made by Gill I believe. Boots by Lisa.
Lots of photos of her as I just really love this girl.
The three girls together.
A bit of a photo overload, but hey why not?
They look great, Lorraine! Bet they are glad the weather is awful so that they get to have a clothes trying on session!
ReplyDeleteHow did you get Susan's hair so silky? My poor sweater girl (also Susan!) has quite harshhair and I'd love to do something to make her look better.
J xx
Fortunately I have never had to do anything to Susan's hair - she is just lucky to have soft and silky locks! I guess you could try soaking it with fabric softener or downy dunk as it is sometimes called?
DeleteThey got changed a couple of weeks ago now, I am only just getting round to taking photos of them! I'm supposed to be sorting our bedroom...procrastination and anything else is the word and activity!
Weaver is absolutely right about the tights, i like her colour choices. the lovely sweater Susan is e
ReplyDeleteWearing reminds me of the gorgeous cable sweater my DH got years ago when he want to Malta, apparently the knitters stand at street corners knitting complex cable sweaters and lacemaking.
I love cabled sweaters, I used to make a few and still have a 'human' one on needles in a very LONG term WIP basket, but haven't done any for a while now - I ought to really.
DeleteMy cousin knitted cable a lot when she was a teenager, I haven't really tried it though I have knitted a simple twist (so basic cable). I would prefer to try it for a doll rather than a full sized grown up, I knitted a thick roll neck sweater for my elder daughter 3 years ago and it if hadn't been chunky wool and therefore grew fairly quickly, I would have given up. I like small projects rather than large ones.
DeleteOnce again, I am enchanted by your Sashas and their outfits. Great sweaters-cables, wow! I love the dotty tights, and every time I see Lisa's boots, I know I need to get some!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the many poses, insipation for sure!
Thank you so much Janet, so glad you enjoyed it. Lisa's boots are great.
DeleteI'll put my hand up to second you to taking Sasha photos rather than sorting out your bedroom any day.
ReplyDeleteThe three girls are all looking good in their sweaters and skirts. Just the wear for these colder, wetter days. (Although we aren't having the rain up here as you are having down there.)
Instead I'm having trouble with too much sun in my indoor photos causing shadows everywhere..... as just haven't the time to go and take them outside at the moment.... still trying to get tidied up after that long, extended Christmas..
Well I was a 'good girl' today Kendal and there was no Sasha play for me - instead I worked on the bedroom and made some headway. I am clearing out drawers, decluttering and generally doing a jolly good tidy up!
DeleteHad a couple of lovely sunny almost spring like days the last two days.
The girls are looking nice and cosy in their winter wear. I need to get knitting......somehow I think I said that before some time!!!
ReplyDeletePS I think Weavers tights are nice!!
Well I am sure you will when you feel like it - at least you have a wonderfully tidy space now.
DeleteOh I like Weaver's tights as well, just wasn't sure they suited, but the general consensus is they do, so what do I know?
The blonde lovely girls look great in their outfits!!! Weaver is spot on with her tight selection, just right :). Stevie is pure perfection--no wonder you love photos of her. I enjoyed each one, thank you!! Ginger
ReplyDeleteThank you Ginger, glad you enjoyed the photos. Stevie is working on me taking her to NZ with me as well as Henry...after all she said I would be gone a while...I've tried to explain it is a VERY LONG way and luggage space is at a premium....we will see. So far Henry is coming and one of the little wooden Hitty girls - but they fit in a pocket so not such a problem.
