Sunday Summary - The week's knitting.

Henry, having got his new hair deserved a new sweater and I had been wanting to make this one for a while with my special Arapawa NZ Wool.  This wool is from a rare breeds sheep and is just wonderful and perfectly 'boyish' I think.

He is certainly pleased with it and hasn't taken it off.

I have knitted a couple more dresses for my Etsy Shop 

Sparkly purple, this dress would of course look fantastic with the appropriate boots!

Plus hot pink - again with glitter/sparkles through it, although the colour is difficult to capture at our current levels of low light.

Maddison of course thinks it goes perfectly with her hot pink boots and this time she is right!

The 2014 Kiwiana Collection

I have been busy the last week or so working with the gorgeous fabrics and yarns that I bought while in New Zealand and are pleased to be able to present the first part of my newest collection.  The boys collection will be ready in the next week or two with any luck.

The 2014 Kiwiana Collection

Clothing for sale with a New Zealand flavour exhibiting my love for New Zealand and the native bush and bird life that abounds. Hand made with care for Sasha and Gregor. All clothing has overlocked/serged seams, and lined bodices for the dresses and hand sewn hems.

The dresses with the birds on them feature some of my favourite birds, the little Fantail, the Kiwi, Tui and wood Pigeon to name a few.  The colours are evocative of the native bush, beautiful seas and abundance of blue skies and sunshine.

The girls are getting geared up for Spring.

The girls have been getting changed into clothes more suitable for the wonderful Spring weather we have been having and have been enjoying getting out in the garden.

Nancy is wearing a Kiwiana design 'Koru' dress teamed with lovely sandals made by Macon Street Studios.  When I saw these sandals at the Sasha Festival last year, I just knew they would go perfectly with this dress.

Liebe is wearing one of the first dresses I made, 'Pansies' and this too is perfect for the Spring with the abundance of pansies available in the garden centres and flowering in the garden.

Stevie and Susan have on Kiwiana tops with Puhutakawa and Tuis on.  They love the colourful print of this fabric..

Weaver and Victoria have on a couple of pretty dresses made from the same fabric but with a different design.

Henry is packed!

Henry has been busy packing his clothes over the last few days - he has had to weed some out...I explained that he didn't really need his Superman outfit, and two pairs of sandals...I don't think he needs three pairs of trainers either, but having a harder time convincing him of that...still we have a few more days yet.

Footwear, pyjamas, socks, underpants, shirts, trousers and dungarees.

T Shirts, joggers (camouflage), hoodie, knitwear and shorts.

Swimwear, sunhats, raincoat and sleeping bag and pillow (tucked inside the sleeping bag)

Hmmm...isn't it all supposed to fit in your case Henry?  It did last time we went to NZ!  Granted we didn't take the sleeping bag that year, but the bucket and spades DID fit in your case....

I think he might have to do some more cutting back before we leave.

Do I really have to leave some things behind?  It really is ALL necessary!

I'm afraid so Henry, what doesn't fit in your suitcase or backpack will have to be left behind...

You can leave the sleeping bag out though and we can pack that separately. 

Okay, I will see if I can resort the clothes...
