Meet Alice, my 1969 Kilt girl. She has a sweet innocent face, but don't let that fool you!
She has a full centre part which is perfect for her plaits.
She likes to also wear her hair loose as well
I just love her eyes, she is so pretty...
Here she is wearing the school gymslip I made last year for the Sasha Festival photoshoot Laura and I did in one of the local villages.
She has actually been sent home from school early, so don't let these innocent looking poses fool you.
Can you guess why?
Any thoughts?
Yes that is right, for skateboarding in the playground!
She's gorgeous! I love that she is a beauty without being a goody-goody girl. She reminds me of, well....me! Not in looks, for sure, but definitely in attitude to life.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, yes, isn't she fun? I used to skateboard, although didn't even think about it until AFTER I had posted this, it reminded me.
DeleteI just love these Kilt girls with their full centre parts allowing (as Alice so nicely shows up here in these photos) us to style their hair in several different ways.
ReplyDeleteThese particular dolls I think truely represent replicas of little seven year old British girls with her hair in pigtails or bunches for school days and down loose for Sundays and special occasions.
I love dolls like Alice who have a bit of 'spunk' about them.
Her character is really beginning to shine Kendal. That is the advantage to having had to cut down and have less dolls, you get to know the ones you have a whole lot better! :-)
DeleteShe is lovely, Lorraine! I love these 60s Trendons. They are my favourites. I have a lot to learn, though! Can't even identify the ones I have properly. I think these photos do her justice - her personality comes out in spades!!! xxx
ReplyDeleteShe is gorgeous, and yes her personality really is starting to shine.
DeleteOooh she is really pretty Lorraine, I love her eyes and her hair. And the fact that she is obviously not a boring little goody goody, is even more fun! I love girls who are a bit tomboy-ish and do fun outside-y sorts of things! Yes, definitely a lovely little girl!
ReplyDeleteShe is indeed Sharon, and does love to do outdoor activities very much!
DeleteHi Lorraine, your Alice is dreamy....so lovely. Are her eyes repainted or is that the way she was made ? She has such a sweet expression.
ReplyDeleteWinnie
Hi Winnie, Alice's eyes are original. They are quite lovely aren't they? She does have such a sweet expression.
