Jemima has a Pink day.

Jemima wanted to dress up in pink gingham today as it was apparently a 'pink' kind of day....

She even put a pink ribbon in her hair.

She recently had to have her eyes tested as like many once they reach a 'certain' age, she was finding close work more difficult and apparently 'one's arms are only so long'.  She choose a burgundy/pink pair as she said they would go with many clothes - and although she doesn't have an extensive wardrobe yet, they do indeed match her clothes!

She very much enjoyed being able to read clearly again.

Creativity is the word.

2016 is going to be a year of creativity - or at least that is my plan....it has started off well with the completion of two outfits.  One for Baby and one for Jemima.

Baby chose his buttons....seems he likes bright colours and certainly has a mind of his own.

There is a hat to match, but he refused to wear it.

Jemima got a new skirt and cardigan and she is very pleased with it.

I have knitted this pattern before in green and Liebe often wears it, so thought I would try it in a bigger size.

Here they are sitting patiently beside my computer while I upload the photos!

Jasper my Autumnal Boy.

I have been wanting to add a red head Course boy to the family here at Rose Cottage for a few years now and finally found THE boy!  He didn't take very long to arrive and was all I imagined and more. To say I am absolutely delighted with him is an understatement.  Sometimes the wait is worth it! Sadly I missed out on his sister, and was rather gutted...but good things come to those who wait, so hopefully we will find him a sister in the future.

Introducing Jasper

My Autumnal boy - he just loves the changing leaves from our Maple tree.  He tried to play 'snow angel' but with leaves.

In the end Jasper decided there weren't enough yet so sat up and played with them instead.

Just loving his face and his fabulous clothes.  He came shoeless so I made him a brown and a black pair of shoes.

Loving my boy Jasper.

He makes me smile.

Reaching out....

Seeing the ladder against the tree was an opportunity too good to miss...

Gosh quite a gap between rungs...but I think I can do it...

Now if I lean forward just a little....

I might be able to reach the apple.

Just a little bit more....

...getting closer

Got it!

Shall I eat it now or see if Mum will use it to make an apple crumble?

Pondering decisions....
