Henry has news....

Henry thought he would sit in his apple tree and contemplate the day.  It has been a lovely warm and bright weekend which has been lovely for a change.

Henry loves nature and marvels at all the blossom that is occurring - all the rhododendrons are coming out in flower and are looking beautiful.

Later in the afternoon Henry hears news that Pinny from the USA is coming over to stay with him until the Sasha Festival.  He is so excited.  He loves to have visitors and welcomes them wholeheartedly.  The last time we had guests was this time last year when Harry and Harper came to stay.  A year between visitors is far too long Henry thinks.  Henry is hoping to meet up with Harry at the Sasha Festival and so hopes that Harry will be there.  He is hoping to get some reunion photographs.

Henry sends an email to Pinny wishing her a safe journey and hopes to see her in about a weeks time.  He is really excited and has lots planned for her stay, including a trip to Cornwall!

  1. Bet that 'Dear' Henry is 'over the moon' with this news as we know how much he loves having friends to stay.
It will be great for him to show Pinny some of Cornwall whilst she is staying with him. It's such a fantastic area with all it's history of piracy and smuggling using the little beach coves and caves set amongst the craggy, rocky cliffs.

    1. 'Dear Henry' is indeed 'over the moon' about his new guest coming to stay. He has been busy writing out ideas all day and keeps checking the front door to see if she has arrived yet....I have explained it will take more than a couple of days!

  2. Lucky Henry! He seems to have a great garden to play in, a swing seat to relax on and now he can look forward to a visit from a friend! Lovely pictures, Lorraine! Great little story, too! xxx Karin

  4. Oh that's lovely for both you and Henry to have a friend over for a visit! I think Pinny will really enjoy herself in the UK and especially with a nice visit to Cornwall planned for during her stay! I look forward to seeing all the photos on her blog once she arrives!
