A surprise for Ziva

A really lovely surprise gift arrived in the post today.

Ziva is absolutely delighted as it was just what she needed.

A black cardigan to go over her pumpkin dress for those chillier days.

Isn't it just perfect!

Thank you so much Jude for you wonderful generous gift.  Both of us are really thrilled with it.

Autumn Pinafore Swap - Part Six

Another couple of Autumn Swap photos to share.

Lauri and Carol S were partners.

Lauri sent this lovely colourful pinafore.

I just love the colours in this and also the brown long sleeve top underneath, they work together so well and are timeless.  I know I would have been very happy to receive such a pinafore as indeed Carol was.

Next up we have a rather funky outfit made by Carol and sent to Lauri, however her daughter Gracie has claimed it for her new Sasha.

Carol did something a little different with the back and I love how the straps cross over.

Great fun indeed!

What brilliant pinafores ladies, absolutely fabulous!

Monica chooses some warmer wear.

Wet and windy out so the photos were taken on my porch today.

I finally convinced Monica to change out of her beautiful blue Festival dress and into something warmer for winter.  She has chosen the latest hat made to contrast with the navy blue pin cord dress I made last winter.

Unfortunately we don't have any navy shoes, so these were the best match.

Such a pretty girl.

Now it seems not only did Emily want to change her beret yesterday, but she also found a dress to wear the same style that the other girls are wearing.  This too was made last year.

I notice she kept the tights on though...hmmm...perhaps I better suggest some slightly more toning ones!

Autumn Pinafore Swap - Part Five

The next swap partners to show their pinafore swaps are Janet and Jude who really made the most of their partnership and swapped lots of fun emails back and forth.  It is so lovely to hear about the success of swaps and new friends made which is what it is all about.

Jude sent Janet this lovely pinafore:

Caroline is wearing her new pinafore and all the extras that were included.

The pinafore is lined with embroidered flowers, a blouse, cardigan, beret and a special stretchy bracelet that Caroline put on before anything else!

My recent beret knitting inspired both Jude and Janet to make berets - so much fun was had indeed.

It was quite amazing really this swap, as although Janet and Jude corresponded with each other, neither gave much away as to what they were making, and yet both outfits turned out remarkedly similar!  Both made a lined pinafore, blouse, cardigan and beret!

Here is Jude's Suzanna opening her parcel.

Ooohhh lots of go

Oh lots of goodies!  Even fancy underwear, how sweet!

Pretty as a picture!

What a wonderful swap between Jude and Janet and how perfectly matched they were.

Thank you to you both for the wonderful photos you sent me and the fun the girls had opening their swap parcels.  Absolutely super!

Monica and Winnie were partnered and Winnie has received her delightful swap from Monica which Monica has blogged about here.

Monica also fully lined her pinafore and added some gathers on the sides with cute little bows.  She also made a blouse and added a cute orange beret.

Very cute indeed!

Winnie made a lovely pinafore for Monica (I am hoping Monica has received it and I am not doing a 'spoiler')

Winnie included matching trousers/pants which is a great idea for when the weather is coldest.

I love the fabric with the flowers, very Autumnal indeed.

More Berets, Rory and a frog!

Helen is happy, she now has a navy beret with white stripe to match her new dress.

Helen passed on her green beret to Molly

Who has teamed it with a new brown floral dress I made her last week.

I think I might start a 'new project' to dress all my girls in a dress of this style which I have made and matching berets... hmm...I wonder how many dresses I need to make as most of them have one now I think.

Emily has given her blue beret to Charlotte and is now sporting a burgundy beret which she thinks suits her pinafore better and also picks out the burgundy stripe in her tights.

Charlotte was originally wanting a pink beret, but has decided that the blue beret Emily offered her is just perfect as it highlights the blue in her eyes and picks out the blues in her dress.

The wind was blowing her hair, and I love this look.

Rory has finally conceded that shorts are no longer appropriate for the weather and temperatures and has put on a pair of tan cords.

He was delighted to find a new frog out in the garden today.

He suggests to the frog that it might like to come in and join the others.  Frog looks quite happy at the suggestion!

Some Berets!

Finally getting round to showing you some more of he berets I have knitted.

Alice is wearing Molly's red dress and frog brooch and has teamed it with a green beret.

Marcia got the brown beret she requested.

Helen is wearing a green beret teemed with a tartan dress...

However she later changes out of this in favour of a new dress I made recently...

which she very much prefers and so has requested that if possible could she have a beret that would suit this dress...perhaps a navy blue with a white stripe?

Danni claimed the orange beret...this girl has um, let's say some very interesting colour choices at times!

Ziva initially went for a tweedy green beret that suited the Festival Studio dress she was wearing...

However, she too changed her mind...

and although we don't celebrate Halloween in any way or form...seems she has a mind of her own...

...saw this dress....

...and of course a black beret with orange stripes was needed!

I can't keep up the way these girls change their minds!

Apparently she is NEVER TAKING THIS OFF and could she have a BLACK cardigan please for when she is cold!
