52 Weeks: 6 & 7

6:  Light Painting

Look this painting is so light I can lift it over my head!

7: Shadows

Having fun with shadow play.

  1. Love your watercolour painting. Looks like you wet the paper with water first before adding blobs of paint and letting them spread out into each other.

The wall shadows are a very clever idea. Must have been so much fun as it was the perfect day for it and good to see you outside enjoying the fresh air.

    1. Thank you Aunty Kendal, it was a lovely day yesterday out in the sunshine. Yes that is 'wet on wet' painting, such fun. It is a technique taught in Waldorf schools and one Mum did with The Sailor and the Politician when they were small boys and she was home educating them. They had lots of fun, just as we are having now!

  2. I love your painting, Henry. It would have gone up on my classroom wall, for sure.
The shadow photo is very interesting. Did you know you had such an amazing fringe before this was taken? What a shame the sun is not showing us a ray or two through the clouds today.

    1. Ha ha, didn't realise about the fringe until the photo was taken and you pointed it out actually. What fun indeed - doesn't it look 'cool? No sun here today either.
