Henry & Harry pack their bag for Devon?

"Your Mum said we need to start sorting out what we are going to take to Devon tomorrow", Harry tells Henry.

"Well we've got our trainers, socks, underwear and sun hats", Henry informs Harry.  "What else do we need?"

"That must be enough surely?"  Harry replies.

"Come on then, lets play now" Henry suggests.

"I haven't got any trains...but we can play with the cars and the aeroplanes" Henry says.

"Broooommm, zoom,...." Lots of noisy engine noises coming from the boys...

"Come on you two, you should really be sorting out your clothes"

"I'm going to take my new Aotearoa shirt your Mum has made for me" Harry tells Henry.

"That looks good with your hair" Henry agrees.

"Must be time for a drink and snack break"  the boys agree.

"Goodness me, you two are very easily distracted aren't you?

The boys manage to gather together some more clothes...until Mum leaves the room...they then look at each other and decide to move the table.

"Come on let's push it out of the way to make some room to play on the floor" Henry says to Harry.

"One, two, three, push!"  The boys move the table out of the way.

"Niowww"

Oh look, Alfie has come along to join them.  "Brrom, Vrroom"

Uh oh, who's come along now?

The boys look towards Bobby who is standing there with his hands on his hips.

"I've packed my bag" he informs them.

Even Alfie stops what he is doing...

"Oh don't be a spoil sport Bobby" Henry says.  "Come and play with us.  Alfie wants you to"

Bobby sits down to play with Alfie.

Looks like the boys are enjoying themselves....when suddenly Henry says...

"Quick, I think Mum is coming, lets pack our bag so it looks like we have done it"

He hastily throws the clothes into the suitcase...

"There, that should do it" Henry says and they all return to playing.

Some more of Fanny's gorgeous girls....

Another 'mixed bag' post today.

First up we have a couple of gorgeous pictures of two of Fanny's lovely blonde girls in  her garden.

So sweet indeed.

Next is a gorgeous line up of some fabulous blondes in their oh so pretty dresses.

They all looks so beautifully groomed and angelic don'tthey?

Thank you Fanny, this really is a treat for us all.

I had briefly thought about taking some pictures of some of my Sasha family the garden today...until I realised that the grass was just far too long from all the rain we have had and probably would have hid them!  Hopefully now we have had a couple of dry days the ground will dry out so we can get the lawn mowed

Of course the next pictures just won't really compare with what we have just enjoyed...

A couple of items I have made for my American Girl Doll Julie.

Colourful capri's

Tasselled top with a bit of 'flower power'

Next is May's KAL (Knit a Long)I have joined in with...this time a body suit.

Nice easy knit.  Some of the ladies taking part have done the most amazing designs to jazz them up a bit, I really ought to try being a bit more adventurous.

Sewing, Knitting and Modelling

Who's that wandering off?

Hang on a minute young man, I want to take a photo of you in your workman's outfit.

That's right, only a few minutes...

Off he goes, back to work...I think he is pretending he is working on the steam train engines.

I finally put the buttons on a hooded cardigan I made while in New Zealand.

Lots of photos as I couldn't decide which I liked best.

Lastly Tilly Rose has on her 'Pink biker' jacket and matching trousers.

I don't think that footwear is suitable for wearing on a bike Tilly Rose!

A train drivers cap please

Next week Henry and his friends are going to be going on a train and of course what do they want but train drivers caps!

Hmmm...how to make one?

'Ingredients'

Pencil
Paper
Tape Measure
A pair of unused new black sports shorts of my younger son that he refused to wear
Some leather scraps

and voilà!

One down, two to go...

"Hey Henry, I've got my train cap on as well!"

"Who is the cap for that you are holding under your arm?" Harry asks Henry

"This is for one of the boys we are going to stay with", replies Henry.  "I'm not sure who is going to have it yet"

"Cool" says Harry.

"I wonder if Mum will make us some overalls as well?"

Fortunately Mum doesn't hear that comment, otherwise she might have called out, "Don't push it Henry!"

A Photo Shoot.

The other week I asked Fanny from The Netherlands if she would like me to post some photos of her beautiful Sasha girls on my blog.  She said yes and so today I would like to show you four of her gorgeous blonde and red head Gotz girls.

They have put their pretty home made dresses on

They line up trying to decide how the best position to pose should be...

One of the pretty blonde girls sits down...

As does one of the gorgeous redhead girls.

Perfect photo shoot.

Thank you girls and thank you Fanny for these wonderful photos.

A tea party...

Another wet day has been keeping the kids inside.

The girls have been very enterprising though and organised a tea party.

Harper, Jane and Judy set up a little table with cups and saucers.  Harper has already donned the apron.

"You can pretend to be Mum" says Judy to Harper

"I'm hanging up the bunting" Jane says while Harper and Jane discuss who else they should invite

"Amelia is already here sitting on the cushion, but who else shall we ask?" Harper asks Judy.

"Why don't we ask Alice, she is so good at reading" Judy replies.

Amelia is fascinated by the bunting and watches Jane with interest.

"Shall I read Peter Rabbit to you Amelia?"

"Yes peas Alice"

"Why don't you go the other side Judy and you can serve the sugar and milk?"  Harper asks.

"Is this better Miss Bossy Boots?"  Judy says cheekily to Harper

"Well you did say I could play Mum!" retorts Harper who likes to take control...

Judy glares at Harper thinking there could be problems here...as she too likes to take control...must be their fiery red hair!  Let's hope sparks don't fly...

In the meantime Jane listens in on the story Alice is reading Amelia...

A Rainy Day - Harry's Holiday with Henry

Henry and Harry were very excited first thing this morning when they looked out the window as the sky was blue and the sun was shining.  Yippee they thought Mum can take us to the woods today.

Sadly Mum woke with another stonking headache, this time so bad she could hardly stand.  So much for thinking it had gone yesterday.  Not only that but it wasn't long and the sky clouded over and the rain came down, and down and down...  So what else for two little boys to do.  They have watched a DVD,  played games and kept themselves relatively busy.  They did try and go and see what the girls were up to, but their bedroom door was firmly shut with a sign up that said 'No boys allowed!'

Harry is trying out some glasses...while using Henry's Macbook to write an email to his Mum.

'I'm going to tell her all about what we did yesterday", Harry tells Henry.  "I'm also going to tell her how cold it was last night...3 degrees Celsius!  Isn't that a bit ridiculous for May?"

"It sure is", replies Henry.  "Good thing we didn't sleep outside in our tents, we would have froze!".

"How do I attach a photo Henry?"  Harry asks.

Henry shows him how to do so.  It all goes quiet....

"Let's read about Harry Potter" Henry suggests.

"Oh yes, that is a good idea", enthuses Harry.  "After all he has MY name".

"Yeah and he wears glasses.  So it must be pretty cool to wear glasses"  Henry tells Harry.

"Well what about these ones?" Harry asks Henry..."I was given two pairs to try to see which I like best"

"Do they give me a studious look"  Harry asks while thinking...

"Or maybe this pair, that I was wearing while using the laptop?"  Harry muses.

Henry thinks...

Leaning back in a relaxed manner he replies wisely...

"Dunno..."

Okay, so perhaps  not so wisely.

Henry continues, "I think Harry Potter wears round glasses..."

"Maybe you should add the two photos of you wearing the glasses to your Mum, to see what she thinks"

"Anyway I've finished my book now, do you want to swap".

"Okay" Harry replies, while handing the book over to Henry.
