Advent Calendar

As the girls got to decorate the tree the boys asked if they could choose the Advent Calendar this year...

Naturally they chose a Dinosaur one! The twins, James and Connor got to open the first two days.

Look there is door number 1, I will open number one and you can open door number two James.

Oh what is in there Connor?  I can't see properly the door is in the way.

It's an explorer James, look!

Connor shows James the little explorer.

My turn now, says James as he looks for door number two.

He bends down to open it.

Oh, look Connor, a bag of goodies...

James holds up the bag to show Connor.  I wonder what is in there?

A hat!  All explorers have to have a hat. Connor tells James

And binoculars, replies James as he holds up a pair to show Connor

They put the binoculars on the little explorer man as well and Connor hands the man to James.

Hold him while I get the display set up, he asks James

Look this is going to be great fun.  Connor says as he puts the man in place.

James looks down and exclaims.  Wow, there is even a fire!

Cool!  They both chorus.  Can't wait until tomorrow!  I wonder who will get to open the window for Day Three?

  1. Gosh! This looks to be SOME Advent Calendar! Not one where there is just a picture or at best, a chocolate.
Even I'm looking forward to seeing what each day brings.... never mind the Gregors!
    What a great idea!

    1. Great fun indeed, I too am very pleased I went back and got it! :-)

  3. Awww this is lovely! I was expecting them to find just a tiny chocolate in each of the days....what awesome surprises!

  4. We're working on the Enchanted Forest calendar. I has a hedgehog. So far we only have a tree and birds.

    1. That's the one I wanted but they didn't have any left so we got the next best thing! Dinosaurs - what all little boys love (and girls, little and big!)

  5. That looks like a lot of fun.
