Another Sasha Studio inspired outfit.

Continuing to find inspiration from the Sasha books and styles I made this outfit today which consists of gathered skirt, pantaloons/drawers, petticoat, blouse and headscarf/shawl.  All made from vintage fabrics or clothing.

Sally makes such a beautiful model and has such a look of innocence.

Loving the photos in sepia as well.

I am loving this photo.

    1. Thank you Julie - I think it might well be mine as well. I am so enjoying focussing on the sewing for the girls I have left - it is fine and inspiring - something I really needed.

I think I might get some cards made with the last photo :-)

  3. So SO nice...I also think it is one of the nicest ever! I love the little embroidery on the sleeves, and colors and stripes of the apron, and the head scarf looks so soft and that grey/blue color compliments her eyes beautifully! I am thoroughly impressed.

Yep, I know what you mean, about ignoring the "other" stuff! Sashas are just more fun than most other things, and life does need to be enjoyed, after all, as much as we can. As we speak, I am admiring your handwork and I need to get up and clean the kitchen! Lately I've been getting out of bed at about 6:30 in the morning, and just squeezing in a tiny bit of sewing before Isadora gets up (my two year old). Usually at night if I try to sew I made lots of mistakes since I am tired.

  5. Another really beautiful doll wearing a delightful studio doll inspired peasant outfit. The dainty embroidery on the sleeves adds a superb unusual touch. Lovely head scarf.
I'll agree with a couple of your blog followers that this is one of the nicest outfits that you have recently made, just perfect for the Sasha Dolls to wear.
    Congratulations and well done.
