Happy Easter

Three little blonde girls want to wish you all a Happy Easter!

Petite little Sally is a pretty little Wide Face Blonde from 1972

She is so pretty in her little yellow checked dress

Alice, my 1969 Kilt girl, is such good fun and can be a bit of a tomboy (you might recall she got sent home for riding her skateboard in the playground), but enjoys dressing up in pretty dresses as well.

Sweet Victoria, my minty 1971 girl, wears another pretty Easter dress.  Love the little covered buttons, so sweet.

Sorry not many words, still struggling with stories etc... at the moment, but they all send their love and the wishes and sense of adventure all the same.

Molly thought it was warm outside.

Molly saw the sun shining today and thought it would be warm....after all it is almost the end of March!

She donned this pretty little dress that was received in the first Sasha Swap I took part in

I don't think she stayed out there long before she hurried back in with Rufus.

I've also updated my 'Other Dolls for Sale' page.  You never know you might be interested in offering someone a new home ;-)

Happy St Patrick's Day, Happy Birthday!

Not only is it St Patrick's day today, but our very own Patrick turned 15 years old today.

Sasha and Peter wish 'Patrick' a very happy birthday and a very happy St Paddy's day.

Peter loves lying his head on Patrick's thick fur.

They both give him cuddles before their 'official'  birthday photograph.

Happy Birthday and Happy St Patrick's Day.

Our real live Patrick, renamed Shadow!  Happy Birthday - 15 years old today!

Going back in time!

Because I am still not really up to much, battling nausea and head buzzing and spending most of my time in bed I thought I would revisit some old posts from my Balancing Kiwi blog.    Here is part of one from Tuesday 19th April 2011...could our weather really be this good in only just over a months time?  I so hope so!  It was just after Sasha and I cam back home from visiting my parents in New Zealand.  to read more of the post you can find it here.  It is reminded me of how sadly the front garden has been neglected the last couple of years and makes me really want to get back out there and do something about it.  Please I want to feel well again!  I have so missed not seeing my parents this year as well.

Tuesday in the Garden

What an absolutely gorgeous stunner of a day it has been today. Glorious sun all day, just perfect weather for spending outdoors. I was up with the birds this morning - out gardening soon after.

The girls have been enjoying the nice weather.
Now don't forget to share the skipping rope!

For Karin...

I didn't knit this specifically for Sasha, but when finished it in February last year thought I would try it on her to see what it looked like.  These are the photos I posted.  I have since knitted it again (and much better in my opinion than this first).  Jacknitss (on Ravelry) are very well written and concise and I enjoy knitting them.

And what could be more fitting than the fact that Sasha was modelling this dress as well?!

I have since knitted it with an altered neckline as in this first version it is a bit wide and has some mistakes!

A family reunion!

Henry, what have you done to your hair?  Molly asks Henry

Never mind my hair, have you heard the news?  Henry replies. Sasha is coming home!  Goodness knows why she left in the first place, but I thought you would want to know, you being bestest friends.

Well I don't know about that, as she took some convincing to share her skipping rope at first, but yes we are best friends.  Molly says.

Hey, what is going on?  Rory and Emily ask as they join Molly and Henry.

Henry relays the news about Sasha's imminent arrival.

I've been watching out for the parcel all morning.  Mum was worried she wouldn't be here as she had an ASD meeting to go to.

A parcel arrives...

Henry has a listen to see if he can hear anyone inside it.

Well?  Says Emily.  Is it Sasha?

I'm not sure, replies Henry.  I can hear something though.

Together they open the box.

They all look inside hoping...

Look!  It must be her, the envelope inside says "Mummy, I'm home!"

Quick let's help her get out of all that bubble wrap...don't these people know plastic is bad for children?

Molly, Rory, Henry and Emily quickly tackle the layers of bubble wrap, finally revealing...

Sasha!  It is you! They all exclaim at once.

Sasha stands up...um I'm here, why are you all still looking in the box?

Oh Sasha, I have missed you. Says Molly as she leans in  to help Sasha out.

I have missed you too dear Molly, it is so good to see you. Sasha says as she gives Molly a hug, almost knocking her over!

Sasha turns to look at Henry...Henry, what HAVE you done with your hair?  She asks.

Never mind my hair, he replies.  It is good to see you.

Happy children together again.

With many thanks to Emma H, who helped this happy reunion come about.  Sasha left here late last year.  A reluctant sale and one I regretted once I saw her on Evilbay a couple of weeks later.  Unbeknown to me at the time Emma bought her not long after that listing was seen.  I realised just this week that Sasha was for sale once again...now what else did that tell me, but that she wanted to come back home!  A few emails later and all was arranged.  I can't even begin to say how pleased I am to have my very first Sasha back home with me.  Never again will she leave!

Thank you Emma. :-)
