Thankful Thursday

Here at Rose Cottage (or should it be Daisy Fields!) we are thankful for the good weather we have had today.

The babies were out today playing on the lawn and having fun with all the daisies.

Grace and Amelia were busy concentrating...

Baby Barney Bam Bam seems to be climbing all over Alfie

But they soon become best of friends.

They are all thankful for their newly knitted romper suits, just in time for the warmer weather.

Green in the Garden Theme

The theme for the last week on the Sasha Morgenthaler Facebook has been 'Green'  so I thought it would also be fun to post my pictures of some of my gang in green on here...  some photos taken today, a lot are photos taken in the past.

Today Alice and Weaver take a stroll between showers wearing their green dresses (even though they don't show up especially green in this photo!) Weaver's dress is a combination of blue and green butterflies.

Caleb is off on a hike in his Jean Jensen outfit.

Emily is wearing a lovely smoked dress today which was worn by...

Molly last summer.

Last summer Emily was seen sporting this lovely green smocked dress.

The delectable Stevie loves her green outfit (cardigan knitted by myself)

Henry in green in Kerikeri in March this year.

Cora is wearing a green striped dress I made last year.

It really brings out her colouring.

Sally is wearing one of my NZ Batik Koru dresses.

In this photo we have Victoria wearing this dress.  Doesn't she look lovely in the daisies?

Susan is wearing an outfit I made a couple of years ago.

Tilly Rose is sporting green in this outfit I made several years ago.

BJ is wearing an outfit I made back in 2012

Green corduroy and beret dress made by myself several years ago now

Rory is more often than not sporting his sailor outfit nowadays, but was often seen in green with his green frog friends.

Henry in green playing with Autumn leaves

Molly in a green knitted outfit I made several years ago.

I realised going back through my photos that I have a lot of greens in various outfits - but picked out the ones that feature in the garden.  There are so many different shades - some look almost blue in some of the photos, but they are indeed in the green spectrum.

I hope you enjoyed.

Some Scheming going on?

There was lots of whispering and discussions going on in the garden today...I think the girls are planning something....

I managed to get them to pose for a quick photograph in their lovely smocked Halloween inspired dresses before they continued their chatting and scheming..

Did I hear the words 'Tree House', 'Peggy Sue', 'Boys' and 'Scary' ?

Reaching out....

Seeing the ladder against the tree was an opportunity too good to miss...

Gosh quite a gap between rungs...but I think I can do it...

Now if I lean forward just a little....

I might be able to reach the apple.

Just a little bit more....

...getting closer

Got it!

Shall I eat it now or see if Mum will use it to make an apple crumble?

Pondering decisions....

Liebe in the Garden

It has been a day for playing out in the garden.

Liebe took her baby for a stroll in the pram

She is pleased that the lawn has been mowed as it makes it easy to push the pram.

Are you okay little one?

Liebe hums as she pushes the little pram

It is such a lovely sunny day and perfect for spending time outdoors

Henry does some gardening.

Henry was busy at work today working in the garden.

He spent some time weeding and then planting up this planter box.

He is looking forward to the foxglove flowering.

Frog Spawn & Tree House

The first thing the boy sailor did upon returning home was to check out the garden pond.

Rory was delighted to see frog spawn for the first time ever!

The pond looks rather murky, but the frogs obviously thought it suitable...

Rory can't wait for tadpoles and then his beloved frogs!

Meanwhile Henry is checking out the tree house

He scrambles up the ladder muttering something about it could do with being a bit longer.

Up he climbs

Pokes his head through

Sits for a while

Inspects the surrounds...hmmm....no leaf growth yet to camouflage it, but perhaps now is the time to start planning the rest of the tree house!
