Thankful Thursday

Here at Rose Cottage (or should it be Daisy Fields!) we are thankful for the good weather we have had today.

The babies were out today playing on the lawn and having fun with all the daisies.

Grace and Amelia were busy concentrating...

Baby Barney Bam Bam seems to be climbing all over Alfie

But they soon become best of friends.

They are all thankful for their newly knitted romper suits, just in time for the warmer weather.

Good behaviour and excitement building...

Baby Barney Bam  Bam is out in the garden in his new romper suit knitted for him yesterday.

He is being unusually well behaved and placid today.

Is he looking at the birds?

Looks like he has picked a daisy...

What a sweet little boy.

Elsewhere in the garden..

Molly and Maddison are busy discussing something.

Henry approaches and wonders if they know what he knows?

Hey there girls.  Henry says.

Hi, they answer back.

Are you excited?  He asks.

Of course we are!  They reply.

Bonnie and Baby approach

Can we come too?  Bonnie asks.

Baby BB babbles something as well.  Henry looks down and tries to interpret what he is asking.

Of course you can!  Maddison tells them, having worked out exactly what Baby Barney was also asking. (No wonder he has been on his best behaviour!)

It is so exciting!  They chat about the Sasha Celebration Weekend they are going to and wonder what time they will get there tomorrow.  They are looking forward to seeing and meeting all their friends.

What is this?

What's this?  Thinks Baby

A hat?

For my head?

Could be...

Nope not sure....

Creativity is the word.

2016 is going to be a year of creativity - or at least that is my plan....it has started off well with the completion of two outfits.  One for Baby and one for Jemima.

Baby chose his buttons....seems he likes bright colours and certainly has a mind of his own.

There is a hat to match, but he refused to wear it.

Jemima got a new skirt and cardigan and she is very pleased with it.

I have knitted this pattern before in green and Liebe often wears it, so thought I would try it in a bigger size.

Here they are sitting patiently beside my computer while I upload the photos!

Secret Santa Swap - Part Four

Our Secret Santa Swap arrived a couple of weeks before Christmas and the girls took charge and tucked it safely into the sleigh away from prying eyes!

Christmas morning dawned and Peggy Sue and Henry are there to help Baby open the parcel as we were hopeful that Santa had given something especially for Baby as that is what Henry wrote in his letter.

Baby is very excited...it is his first Christmas.

Inside the wrapping paper were TWO little sacks with cards attached and much to Henry's surprise there was something for him as well.

Baby was rather surprised to find some clothes inside the package and looks up at Peggy Sue.

Yes that is for you!  She says, thinking at last she might be able to get some clothes on Baby.

She helps get Baby dressed while Henry looks inside his sack.

Ooh some fun things to share with my friends.  Henry says,

Peggy Sue looks at Baby.  All dressed .  She says....having craftily put the top on with the ties at the back so Baby can't get out of it so easily!

Baby looks up at Peggy Sue.

 Henry is looking excitedly at the trophy, balls and other fun items he has received...and is planning the next sports event.

There you go you little scamp.  Peggy Sue says.  All dressed now.

But for how long I wonder?!

Baby is thrilled with his little Peter Rabbit outfit and rubber ducks for the bath.

With their combined 'loot' from their special Secret Santa Brenda.

Time to make an escape...Baby is thinking.

Thank you for our lovely gifts Brenda.

Some scheming by a determined young lady.

For those who may have missed the antics going on, on my other blog, involving Peggy Sue and her desire to go with Henry to the Sasha Festival I have reposted the posts here...

Day One:

Peggy Sue was overheard having a discussion with Henry today...

What do you mean I can't go to the Sash Festival because I'm not a Sasha?

That hardly seems fair...I can wear Sasha dresses...as this was bought at the Sasha Festival last year.

Is there a problem with my hair?  It isn't falling....

Well I am going to ask Mum then!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Day Two:
So if Mum sees how good I am with the babies, maybe THEN she will let me go to the Sasha Festival...after all technically speaking Henry isn't a Sasha he is a Gregor! (Thanks Aunty Jenni for letting me know that fact!)  Plus there is a special baby night, so she will NEED me won't she?
Would you like me to push you Amelia?
 There you go, isn't that fun. Now which of you little munchkins are going to the Festival?
WHAT'S that Alfie?! Both of you...
Oh I don't think so!
I think Mum is still trying to decide which of you to take.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Day Three:

Henry finds Peggy Sue out in the garden with all the babies...

What are you doing?  Henry asks Peggy Sue

Practising.  Peggy Sue answers Henry.

Practising what?  Asks Henry.

Why, baby sitting of course.  Peggy Sue tells him as if he should automatically know.

But why?  A very puzzled Henry asks.

Well because I need to show that I am really profishent...good at it.  She tells him.

But anyone can babysit!  Just look they will do exactly what I say... Henry says with ever such a slight scoffing sound to his voice.

Ginger George has other things more interesting on his mind..

Well it doesn't look like they are ALL doing EXACTLY as you say!  Peggy Sue informs him.

Just look Ginger George is completely distracted.  Watch me...

Georgie...pay attention, would you like me to tell you all a story and then play with you?

All heads turn and look at Peggy Sue

But that is cheating! Henry tells Peggy Sue.

No it is not.  It is called focussing their attention...I heard Mum say something about how important it was to make sure the focus was on you before you try and get something done.  Or at least I think that is what she said.  Peggy Sue explains.

Hi there Georgie, there's a good boy.  Do you want me to lift you up?  Peggy Sue asks.

Henry talks to Amelia and Isaac...  It's just because he has red hair like Rory...

Shall I help you?  Peggy Sue gives some attention to Ginger George who seems rather taken by her.

 A little while later...

You really are determined aren't you Peggy Sue?  Henry asks.

Yes, and why shouldn't I be?  You can't have ALL the fun you know. Says Peggy  Sue.

I want to see the world as well.

Henry looks intently at Peggy Sue, not quite sure what to think of this very determined little girl.

Peggy Sue and Henry continue their discussion while the babies play.

Sometime later, after Peggy Sue has taken the babies back inside, her and Henry are seen to be still deep in discussion.

So what do you think?  How possible do you think it will be?  Peggy Sue asks Henry

I really don't know Peggy Sue. It is a after all a 'Sasha Festival'   Henry tries to explain.

Yes but as Auntie Jenni pointed out technically you aren't a Sasha either, you are a Gregor!  Peggy Sue exclaims.

Yes, but we are made from the same mold, it is just some of us became boys and some girls...  Henry starts to broach dangerous ground with this comment.

But how? The all inquisitive Peggy Sue asks.

Well, I don't know...I think you had better ask Mum about things like that!  Henry mutters...

Oh I see...  Peggy Sue says, although she doesn't really understand...

Anyway, she also said um, that you were a lot heavier than us! Henry comes up with what he thinks is a trump reply!  Even more dangerous ground Henry!

Yeah, but I am not!  Besides, it is not polite to talk about a girls weight like that.  Retorts Peggy Sue.

Henry looks a little confused.

I won't take up much room...I'll only need about this much space on the plane...

See, just about as wide as my body, so I can sit down..

We could sit together Henry, what do you think?  After all we are a very similar height and size.

There, it is settled then... Peggy Sue states.

Henry looks a bit bewildered by it all...he is still smiling though, as he is convinced she won't be allowed to go....
