1st February - Lucy

On 1st January this year I decided to feature one of my remaining 12 Trendon/Frido girls on the first of each month.  Today is Lucy's turn.

Lucy is a gorgeous 1967 Frido Ballet Red head with full centre part.  She used to live with Kendal, but has been with me well over a year now.  For some reason  it took some time for me to bond with her.

It wasn't until I put her in the outfit shown below (by Bambino Belle) and she told me her name that it all clicked together and now of course she is one of my favourite girls.

Of course there is to be no photography sessions outside today as it is raining!

In the photos I took today Lucy is wearing a dress and cardigan/jacket that I made her.

I quite like her in this colour...

She has such lovely eyes and pretty face.

    1. Thanks Dee. I was so used to her with her hair in a pony tail that it took a little while to convince me that her hair was pretty down as well.

  3. She's very pretty. I have that pattern in the first photo....thinking thinking....I wonder if it will fit Sasha, and how much the seamstress had to adapt it?
    Big hugs Sharon xx

    1. Nelly can wear Sasha dresses, but you need almost to double the length of the skirt. I believe I have a picture of Nelly wearing dress made for Sasha. I'll try to find it and post it on my blog.

  4. Lovely to see one of my ex-dolls again.
I, like Dee, prefer her hair when it is loose although when I occasionally had it up in a ponytail I used to leave the shorter side pieces down framing her face.
She, like one of my other dolls here, have what I think is called the 'open wide eyed' look.
The peach colour definitely suits her and love the name, Lucy, that you have given her.

  7. Just noticed this post!!! A bit preoccupied at the moment with the Dentist (ouch). She is another one I could quite happily adopt (hint). That outfit by Bambino Bella is totally enchanting! It really does suit her. Wonderful. xxx

    1. I did offer to sell her when I was asking my hubby for a Cello for my birthday...fortunately he said I didn't have to! Phew! The Bambino Bella outfit is gorgeous isn't it? That was really HER outfit for sure.

  8. Lorraine, I am going slightly gaga! I think the dentist removed my brain as well! I already commented on this post. But it just shows you, I mean every word I said. And if Sharon can work out the pattern I'd love an outfit like that!!!
