Three frogs a would a wooing go

What's this?  Frogs!  Rory is astonished to see three frogs of multicolours.

Hey look at you!

Three frogs they would a wooing go, hey ho, sings Rory

Give us a turn!

Rory doesn't know quite who to look at and play with first, they are all clamouring for attention.

What are you doing up there?  Rory reaches up giggling.

Another has hopped onto his shoe and got stranded by the looks of things.

Frogs!

Rory loves them!

A holiday album

Last year Harry from the USA came to stay with Henry for a few weeks and I documented his adventures on my blog.  A few weeks ago I finally finished the album I had been working on and posted it to Carol S, Harry's Mom.  The other day I heard it had arrived so thought I would show you a few pages of it here.

It comes in a nice protective sleeve case.

During the holiday they also got to spend some time in Exeter with Laura and her gang and had a great time there as well.

Henry certainly misses Harry.  The boys had a fabulous time together, I got to make a new friend and Harry took some souvenirs home with him.

A Catch Up and some Thank You's.

Thank you to everyone who wrote to me either on my blog or by email.  I have tried to reply to each person individually, but as some are 'no-reply' bloggers and I don't have contact details I haven't been able to so will reply via the lovely comments you sent.  With all your encouraging and supportive comments I am attempting to get back into blogging and hopefully will have some more Henry adventures coming up as I slowly have more energy.

On 19th February, Henry travelled with me into London for my appointment at Great Ormond Street Hospital to see the Pain Specialist.  We went up earlier than the appointment time as it was such a lovely day and I thought it would be nice to spend some time in the park.  We were surprised to see the daffodils out.

Ours at home are only just showing their buds, so Henry was delighted to see the flowers in bloom and it almost looks like he is having a conversation with one of them!

So glad we got to spend a little time enjoying the sunshine as we haven't had any since!

I'd fallen and hurt my back quite badly a week or so before my appointment so asked the doctor about it as it was and is still very painful.  Not much joy there unfortunately.  I wish the guy I saw a while back was still in the country as I am fairly sure he would have been able to do something to help me.  I am very wary about trying anybody else, so guess I will just have to 'wait and see' as the pain specialist said.  Hey ho.  I have to go back and see him in April.

I am on the homeward stretch with only two more weeks of meds to take and then hopefully things will return to 'normal' whatever that may be.  The headaches have been easing up, although had a whopper of one yesterday, but woke up headache free today so thought I would write a blog post while I can.

~~~~~~~~~~
Henry and Rory received a wonderful surprise package in the post yesterday from Aunty Kendal and to say they were delighted with it is an understatement.  They received their first ever pair of Dolly Doodle joggers! Wow!  They had to borrow a t shirt from Connor and James - but as the t shirts hadn't been worn yet (as they didn't have anything to match it) all was okay.
Here they are thinking they look very trendy, when it was pointed out to them by their Dear Aunty Kendal, that boys wear their joggers 'pulled down'!  She also reminded them about Henry's white t shirt (at least someone remembers what is in their wardrobes!)  so Rory borrowed that and it looks so much better with the arctic joggers.
That looks better boys!
Three cheers for Aunty Kendal!
Thank you dear Kendal for making two boys very happy.  They can now join the ranks of the lucky boys who own a pair of Dolly Doodle Joggers!  I can't see them taking these off for some time!  In fact I am fairly sure they slept in them last night. ;-)
On another positive note I did some sewing yesterday as well, before my headpain rendered me completely useless!
For Christmas I got a wonderful present from Sarah W.  A DIY package!
Some wonderful fabric I had long admired.  I finally used it yesterday and made a dress modelled by my lovely 1960s Pale Skinned Gotz girl Bethany.  I was going to make her some tights that went better with the dress as well, but by the time I had finished the dress I knew that I wouldn't be able to concentrate any longer.
Hopefully will get some tights made for her today.
Goodbye
Hi, it is Henry here...hopefully the voice of wisdom.
Mum is having a break from blogging and reading blogs for a while.  She did want to close this blog down but I told her she would regret it.  Not sure she believes me at the moment, but at least she listened.
She has had quite a tough time over the last few years since the operation for TOS and has had to give up a lot, the showing of her beloved cavies and having to rehome most of them, her passion, music, work - teaching, and various groups she was involved in musically, but found a great solace in us, me and the other Gregors and Sashas in our family.  Not to mention the lovely people she has met who love us so much.
She doesn't want sympathy, just a little understanding.
Mum is coming off her neuropathic pain medication and feels particularly vulnerable and emotional and sometimes reads into things which perhaps aren't really meant the way she sees them.  She worries a lot about whether she has upset others unintentionally, something she would never want to do. As many of you may have realised Mum is quite an open book and wears her heart on her sleeve and as such is hurt quite easily.    At the moment she is feeling very much alone and with the often daily headpain/headaches/migraines alongside the usual nerve pain that she has is finding things difficult.  This has also meant that she is unable to visit her parents in NZ, and is quite upset about this as well as she knows that her family over there are finding things difficult with alzheimers and cancer, and feels quite helpless that there is nothing she can really do to help.
So until she can resurface from all this (hopefully) we will say goodbye.
For those she has made knitting and sewing commitments too, don't worry they will be fulfilled. :-)
Caleb, Cora, Grace & Isaac
This family group don't always get a look in on my blog, so I thought it was about time I did something about it.
It is much more difficult to photograph these black dolls.  Caleb has a lovely little flick at the corner of his eyelids that is so difficult to pick up with the camera.  All that seems to be well picked up is the dust!  Yet I definitely gave them a good wiping over!  His lips are very vibrant.
Little Grace is an early sexed baby girl with raised eyelids.
Cora, again with very vibrant lips.
Group photo - yes poor Caleb is still in his Christmas clothes.
Baby Isaac  is really the 'odd' one out, being a later baby with the lighter skin.
In this photo you can really see the difference in the colouring of Isaac compared to the other three.
Sweet love
 Rory has been very quiet but busy the last few days...apparently all was top secret!
Molly...I was wondering whether I could, um, talk to you.  Rory asks.
Sure Rory, what do you want?  Molly replies.
I, um...wanted to give you this.  He tells her.
Oh Rory, how sweet, a Valentines
I hope you like it.  Rory says.
Like it?  Molly replies.  I love it!
She leans over and gives him a big kiss.
Rory doesn't quite know what to do with himself, and looks rather shocked.
Are you okay Rory?  Molly asks.
Rory has rather a glow and the hint of a smile on his face.
Oh yes Molly I am quite okay.  He replies.
Oh that is good, because I really like my new frog pin.  Thank you so much Rory, for such a sweet Valentines.
Lucy
As it is Lucy's month and Kendal has kindly sent me a load of photos she had of Lucy I asked if I could put them on here to show off both Lucy and of course Kendal's wonderful photography and collection of beautiful clothes!  Thank you Kendal.
Doesn't she look wonderful in all these great outfits?
Henry & Henry
With the sun shining through into the lounge this morning, Henry thought he might do some vacuuming to help out.
He had to use 'Henry' the vacuum cleaner of course.  Henry thinks it is quite funny that there is a vacuum cleaner named after himself.
That's better he has it set up now.  I like the spiky hair Henry, what is that all about?
Oh, it is supposed to be trendy is it?  Hmmmm
Uh Oh, looks like that cheeky Highland Monkey, Wee Jock wants to have a ride on the vacuum cleaner now!
Henry explains that it is going to make it all the harder if Wee Jock sits on the vacuum cleaner...
Along comes Emily to try and sort things out.  Giving up in the end she asks if she could have a couple of photos taken of just her.
Quite happy she wanders off to play, leaving Henry and Wee Jock, struggling with the vacuuming.
