Such a beautiful day to be out of doors.

Such a wonderful sunny day today, perfect for going for a walk...

Susan is taking her little baby for a walk in the fresh spring air

The birds are singing and all is good.  She is especially happy as she is wearing her first ever new dress!

Oh who is coming?

Why, hello Cora, isn't it a lovely day?

Simply beautiful, who have got in there?

Oh look, isn't your baby beautiful?

She is ever so good Cora...

Can I come for a walk with you as well?

Henry and Humphrey are off on a bike ride...

Emily is following on behind

Perfect day for a bike ride.

Happy St George's Day

Last year Henry got right into the spirit of celebrating St George's day and I have copied the post below as I am not sure whether we will have any time for such things today...disappointed though Henry may be at still not having his Suit of Armour!

Henry threw himself into the whole St George's Day celebration today...donning himself in a pair of red and white shorts...although he grumbled about not having a plain red pair...and arming himself with a sword, posters and my ornamental dragon teapot.

What are you doing Henry?

I'm fighting the dragon Mum

I'm not sure a little dragon looks that convincing Henry!

But I look good with my sword don't I?

Yes indeed you do Henry, although I think you could probably do with some armour to go with that!

I made a shield Mum, but forgot to use it!

Oh well at least you will be prepared if you ever come across a big dragon.

Yikes! Henry exclaims as Mum wanders off and a HUGE dragon breathing fire swoops down...

I wish I hadn't forgot to wear my shield now, and I WISH Mum would hurry and make my suit of armour!

Fortunately Henry survives his encounter with the dragon to fight and play another day!

Happy St George's Day everyone!

Of course we can't forget with the Sasha Festival coming up that today is also the anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare who died 23rd April 1616

Henry continues checking on the garden, and a comparison.

Henry continues to check out the garden spring growth, accompanied by Humphrey his faithful friend.

Oh look the rhubarb is finally starting to grow after almost two years of no growth!  That will be lovely with apples....yummmy apple and rhubarb crumble.

The primroses are looking pretty...hmmm looks like Humphrey has spotted all the weeds!

A comparison photo of my Sylvia Natterer girl side by side with Victoria, my 1970 Sasha girl.

Although there is a height difference it is nearly all in the length of the legs as their body sizes are very similar indeed.

Henry the naturalist

Henry is quite the naturalist and enjoys checking out what is growing in the garden, especially at this time of the year when plants are finally starting to blossom and flower.

Just loving the colour of these....

Ten days on from his last check of the apple tree...

Henry is delighted to find the buds starting to spring forth.

What a perfect day.
