Advent 2016 - Day Seventeen

Gosh Pierre, I haven't seen you out of the Harry Potter Costume for a VERY long time, I almost didn't recognise you!  Henry exclaims as Pierre approaches...

Well you know how it is.  Pierre replies.  It really was time for a change and any way it really would be most improper to open the Advent Calendar in the same clothes as I did last year.

I guess...says Henry amazed, as he really didn't expect Pierre to change out of the clothes as once Pierre decided on something it was hard to change his mind as he doesn't like change much.

So today is the 17th.  Pierre informs Henry.

It certainly is.  Agrees Henry.

Well that was easy. Pierre says as he finds the window.

He opens it up.

Pulls out a bag of pieces.

Now this looks interesting. He says.

Of course!  He says as he looks at the pieces.

This won't take long.

Gosh you were pretty quick.  Henry says.

Naturally.  Pierre tells Henry.  It was easy.  I just had to look at the pieces and I knew exactly how they were to go together.

It is a little stall.

I've just got to decide what it is going to sell.

How about candy floss?  Henry suggests.

What a great idea.  Pierre says.  Of course others know it as Cotton Candy.

'Before and After' The Boys.

This week on the Sasha Morganthaler Facebook group the theme is 'before and after' photos.  I have been through my photos and pretty much all my 'before and after' transformations have been boys.

The first was in early 2012 and was my lovely little Rory. My original interpretation of how he was going to look didn't happen at all - seems he knew exactly who he was!

After

Then jump a couple of years to 2014 and we have poor Pierre who came to me with only one eye.

After

Next we have Nigel who had greening eyes.

Advent 2015 - Day Fifteen

Good morning Pierre.  Henry says.

Pierre?  Who is that?  Pierre replies.  I am Harry Potter!

Um...if you say so.  Henry agrees, knowing it is better not to disagree with Pierre who is inclined to get a bit obsessed by such things.

Pierre, or is it Harry Potter, turns to the Advent Calendar.

I'll just say a few magic words... He says.

Jimbo, Jambo, Jumbo, Mumbo. He says and waves his 'magic' wand.

Henry watches on, amazed as sparks really do seem to come out of the end of Pierre's Harry's wand.

Jibbly, Jobbly, Jombly,...

Some silence.....

The door suddenly pops open!

Some more sparks fly and something appears!

A shield!  Both boys cry.

Pierre, or rather Harry waves his wand again....

and low and behold the knight is fully equipped, ready for action!

Golly Gosh Pierre, I mean Harry!  How did you do that?  Henry asks.

Why it is magic of course!  Pierre Harry replies.

The BBs....The Brunette Boys!

Gwilym is heading off for 'Surgery' as his stringing um, joints are loose....he is a little worried about his upcoming hospital stay, but boys have assured him he will come back 'feeling like new'.  He can still pose reasonably well with clothes on...but without them he is very floppy...he tried to insist that he never plans of posing without clothes on so what is the problem?  His arguments fell on deaf ears however it seems.  He will have company during his stay as poor Emily is in a similar worse state of affairs as she can no longer stand up with ease.  She has insisted that he needs to come and be brave!

The brunette boys thought they would gather for a group photo before he left.

From left to right:  Christopher William, Connor, Henry, Gwilym, Nigel & Pierre

Funnily enough, Gwilym is the earliest of my boys and yet he is the tallest.    Henry is the shortest, although it isn't completely obvious in this photo as he is standing bolt upright and a couple of the other boys are 'slouching'

Advent Day Nineteen.

Pierre and Francis have opted to open the little door for day nineteen on the Advent Calendar.

Both chose a Christmas waistcoat to wear....Pierre choosing red of course!

They decide it is going to be a joint effort.

Come on Francis, I'll open the door and you can get the gift out.  Pierre suggests.

That's it, I wonder what is inside.  Pierre says.

Francis reaches inside to see what might be behind the little door.

He pulls out a little package.

Look Pierre, lots of little gifts.  Francis shows him the bag with the little gifts inside.

Wow, just look at them!  Pierre says.  Whoops! Ouch!

They both bang heads as the go to lean down at the same time.

Here, I'll hold the little gift bucket and you can put the toys in it.  Francis suggests.

There, all full now.  Francis says after Pierre has filled up the bucket with the toys.

There is another little back pack thingy.  Pierre says.  I wonder what it is for.

Francis looks down at the little green back pack in his hand and just shrugs his shoulders....

He puts the bucket with the toys down and puts the little back pack on the shelf.

There.  He says. Looks like the Elves have been busy now helping to make all the toys.

What do you mean?  Pierre says.  The elves didn't make these, we just got them out of a little plastic bag behind door number nineteen.

Well yes... stutters Francis....trying to think of how to reply to such a frank statement... but it is all about fantasy and fun isn't it?

But the elves didn't make the toys.  Pierre states.

But we don't REALLY know that do we?  Francis suggests.

Yes we do.  Pierre replies...after all.....

Pierre launches into some long winded speech....Francis zones out and admires the little scene.

Pierre continues....

...and anyway, why do you let your hair grow so long like that, it must be very irritating when it goes in your eyes all the time....

Francis looks at Pierre stunned....really the boy does come out with the oddest of statements.  He sighs....and tries to explain what 'trendy' means...and how lots of boys like to grow their hair long...

Do they?  Pierre asks looking shocked.  Whatever for?

Never mind.  Francis tells him.
