My other Trendon Brunette - Monica

Re-introducing the lovely Monica, my 1971 Brunette Sasha that joined the Sashas here at Rose Cottage back in the summer of 2011.    She has slightly falling hair so doesn't get 'played' with as much as the others and I try to limit changing her clothes to just the four seasons, plus occasionally she will model some clothes.

I bought her from Shelly at Sasha  Doll UK  and the following two photos are taken from her stock photos that the talented Shelly took.

She came wearing a pretty smocked dress made by Patty.

How could anyone not fall in love with that charming face?

Of course back in 2011 I was still learning how to photograph these dolls and my photos don't always do her justice!

Her arrival photos.

One of the first dresses she modelled was a Christmas dress that I sold.

She is a beautiful model and a delight to photograph.

In 2012 Monica modelled the Sasha Festival Donation that Norvell and I put together.  Norvell made the lovely smocked dress and provided the shoes and socks and I knitted her cardigan, made from NZ wools and added the Pukeko.

Monica modelling another summer dress in 2012

Wearing a blue corduroy dress and yellow coat.

The dress I made in the winter of 2012.

Monica modelling the white dress I made for the 2013 Sasha Festival.

Here she is wearing the lovely dress that Norvell donated to the 2013 Sasha Festival that I won in the auction.

It is really beautiful.

Looking bright and cheerful in her New Zealand native animals print dress.

Wearing an outfit I made in 2014

This is the dress she was wearing last week....she was glad to be changing out of it in to summer clothes.

She models a short sleeve tunic dress I made for an order.

The other dress made to order with short sleeves.

I think I will have to make her one to keep!

Lastly the dress she has changed into for this summer.  A pretty smocked dress made by Karen.

The BBs....The Brunette Boys!

Gwilym is heading off for 'Surgery' as his stringing um, joints are loose....he is a little worried about his upcoming hospital stay, but boys have assured him he will come back 'feeling like new'.  He can still pose reasonably well with clothes on...but without them he is very floppy...he tried to insist that he never plans of posing without clothes on so what is the problem?  His arguments fell on deaf ears however it seems.  He will have company during his stay as poor Emily is in a similar worse state of affairs as she can no longer stand up with ease.  She has insisted that he needs to come and be brave!

The brunette boys thought they would gather for a group photo before he left.

From left to right:  Christopher William, Connor, Henry, Gwilym, Nigel & Pierre

Funnily enough, Gwilym is the earliest of my boys and yet he is the tallest.    Henry is the shortest, although it isn't completely obvious in this photo as he is standing bolt upright and a couple of the other boys are 'slouching'

For Sale - Trendon Brunette Sasha

Hopefully the last of my Sasha dolls being offered here for sale.

Lovely Brunette Pumpkin string girl with hook and bar mechanism in neck.  She has non-falling hair, always a bonus with these brunette girls.  She has her original stringing and can hold a pose well, although her left arm can be a little loose in some positions.  She is in good played with condition.

Oh Mum, please wait until I am dressed first!

She has a lovely expression and her eyes are gorgeous.

Very gorgeous girl reluctantly looking for a new home.

£180.00 plus postage.

I will sort out a pretty dress for her, so she doesn't have to go to her new home naked, unless you would prefer her this way.

I will also list her on my sale page, where there is a lovely 1971 Blonde Ginghan girl looking for a new home as well.

Gorgeous Sasha Dolls for Sale

It has been with a heavy heart that I have had to choose some of my beloved Sasha dolls to sell in order to pay for the vet fees for our little Sheltie who has been poorly and had to have rather expensive vet treatment.

31st July 2012.  Sorry I had updated who has sold on my For Sale page, but not here.  I now just have three available.

First up is one of my lovely red head girls.  I am keeping the twins Judie & Julia, so unfortunately Jane needs to find a new home.

She is a lovely girl in good used, played with condition.

She has a couple of missing hair plugs either side of her face...I think they never have been rooted in the first place, but difficult to tell, and they generally can't be seen and I've never noticed them missing.

She has slight greening to her right eye as seen in the above photo.

Next is this lovely repaint by Shelly that I bought from a dear friend.  I am sorry to have to see her go, but sometimes you have to make choices...

She was repainted in April 2010 and the bottom of her foot is signed and dated.  She has lovely non-falling hair which still maintains its factory curls.  She is in lovely condition and poses well.

Another gorgeous repaint by Shelly, repainted in January of this year.  Her foot is signed and dated.  'Ellery' has gorgeous lavender blue eyes and is in good condition and poses well.  She maintains her silver wrist tag which she is wearing.  She has a couple of marks on her torso from a doll stand (I'm not guilty ;-) ) and a couple of very tiny marks to her knuckle.  She has beautiful blonde hair which still has some of its factory curl remaining.

She really is gorgeous and can be seen on my blog as well.  I will find the link and add it on the for sale page later.

£250.00 + £10 p&p

Petite 16" Brunette Sasha from the early 70s with hook and bar mechanism to the neck, light/pale brown in legs, white in neck and arms.

She has gorgeous eyes, although it does look like someone tried to add 'eyeliner' at some stage in her life.  I am never tried to remove this, but I am sure it could be done if someone wanted to remove it.  She is a really sweet little girl with non-falling hair.  I am not sure if her fringe came like it is, or if it has been trimmed, but I have taken loads of photos to show what it is like.

She holds a pose well.  I will be sad to see this lovely little girl go.

More to come, I seem to have run out of photo 'storage room!'

My beautiful Sasha Harlequin 'Clementine'.

Sold

I think she has such a beautiful face and lovely hair, another doll that I will be sad to see go.

If you would like to see photos of her, please email me so I can send them to you.

I think I am going to have to part with one of my boys as well.

Michel my Gotz Boy Scout - he is very handsome indeed.  Photo of him on my 'Boy's Profile Page'.  He doesn't have his scout uniform but is in fabulous condition.  I will have to sort out some clothes and photos of him once I have decided what to do with my google account, whether to update, or get another type of blog.
