Final Dresses & Berets.

Alice decided to give her aqua green beret to Tilly Rose in favour of a red one to go with her corduroy dress.

The aqua green beret that Alice gave Tilly Rose has been teamed with a violet & green floral dress finished today.

She has put on her favourite purple JJ shoes.

Sasha got the 'Harvest' beret which she has teamed with a pretty little denim like daisy print dress recently made.

She is also wearing a pair of JJ shoes.

Finally I made a dress for Susan to go with the green tweedy beret that Ziva originally was wearing.

Susan is wearing her leather waistcoat and fringed boots that were part of the Secret Santa Swap a couple of years ago received from Jean Jensen.  She was wearing them with a pink sweater dress, but she wanted to wear her new dress like the other girls.

I wasn't entirely convince and think shoes and socks will be better...but sometimes it is best to wait a few days before persuading these girls that what they are wearing doesn't quite work!  Its got to be done all in their own time.

So that is all the girls with new berets and dresses...there is one missing you ask?  What about Cora?

Well Cora said she already has a beret and doesn't need another one.  I think that is because she is worried she might have to put a dress on...and although she likes dresses, she is quite fond of the outfit she is currently wearing.

However, I may surprise her!

Green & Grey

What started off as what I thought was a simple beret making session seems to have turned into somewhat of a marathon...they all want a dress as well!

BJ in Green.

Liebe is still wearing her sweater dress, but has announced she too wants a dress like the other girls...but in the meantime is happy with her beret.

More pinafore swap photos hopefully coming tomorrow!

Monica chooses some warmer wear.

Wet and windy out so the photos were taken on my porch today.

I finally convinced Monica to change out of her beautiful blue Festival dress and into something warmer for winter.  She has chosen the latest hat made to contrast with the navy blue pin cord dress I made last winter.

Unfortunately we don't have any navy shoes, so these were the best match.

Such a pretty girl.

Now it seems not only did Emily want to change her beret yesterday, but she also found a dress to wear the same style that the other girls are wearing.  This too was made last year.

I notice she kept the tights on though...hmmm...perhaps I better suggest some slightly more toning ones!

More Berets, Rory and a frog!

Helen is happy, she now has a navy beret with white stripe to match her new dress.

Helen passed on her green beret to Molly

Who has teamed it with a new brown floral dress I made her last week.

I think I might start a 'new project' to dress all my girls in a dress of this style which I have made and matching berets... hmm...I wonder how many dresses I need to make as most of them have one now I think.

Emily has given her blue beret to Charlotte and is now sporting a burgundy beret which she thinks suits her pinafore better and also picks out the burgundy stripe in her tights.

Charlotte was originally wanting a pink beret, but has decided that the blue beret Emily offered her is just perfect as it highlights the blue in her eyes and picks out the blues in her dress.

The wind was blowing her hair, and I love this look.

Rory has finally conceded that shorts are no longer appropriate for the weather and temperatures and has put on a pair of tan cords.

He was delighted to find a new frog out in the garden today.

He suggests to the frog that it might like to come in and join the others.  Frog looks quite happy at the suggestion!

A beret for Meredith.

Another beret!

This time for Meredith who insists that this IS her Autumn dress!

Fortunately the last couple of days have been relatively mild...

She has asked for a cardigan to match the beret...unfortunately there is not enough wool left to make one...which is fortunate as I didn't enjoy knitting with this yarn!

It is a fun beret though!
