Puzzling Henry

Henry and I have been feeling rather down and despondent about his hair situation.  He is pretty much bald at the back now and this 'will not do'...  He has been trying to sell some sweaters to raise funds to buy a selection of wigs to try - unfortunately can't try and send back those that aren't right!  The ultimate is to save enough to have a re-root done - but we have had lots of problems trying to find the right shade for this as well.  You may remember he visited some wig shops in the USA where there were thousands and yet we still couldn't get a match.  We also sent a sample of his hair to a person in the UK who was going to do a match - well that never worked out either - despite emails - once the hair was sent off, we never got a response from her either, which was most disappointing.

A wig arrived yesterday... we had hoped to order two, but the other we want isn't stocked over here.  Sigh...  Sadly it wasn't suitable so Henry is not a happy boy.  In order to try and cheer him up I hunted out our Wentworth Puzzle we have.

Seems this was just the thing to distract him.

40 pieces...Henry hunts out the edge pieces first.

It is coming together.

Almost finished.

Just the animals to put in now.

Ta Da!  I've finished it.  He cries.

Well done Henry!

    1. Thank you. :-) He had a lot of fun doing this, and I as surprised at how quickly he completed it.

  3. Aw, Henry. You can do what a friend of mine did back when he was losing his hair in High School - he wore a lot of caps. And you can not worry about it. All your real friends don't care and love you just the same.

  5. Take heart Henry, you are not alone. Here in Gregoropolis, Frank is facing the same problem. For now I've just tried to restyle what hair that remains into an attractive look, and hope that it can hold on for a while. To that end, we all try not to sneeze or create a draft around Frank.

    1. It is sad isn't it how we 'suffer' in this way. My sympathies are with Frank as well. Must say that his hairstyle looked pretty good.

  6. Oh dear! Poor you! I know just how you are feeling as I'm having a problem with hair loss too...though just general overall thinning...so no bald patches as yet.
I know that by wearing a cap/hat doesn't help solve the problem but it does disguise it a little PLUS you can insist that you are always facing the camera for those amazing photos.
(So sorry that I haven't been commenting here of late due to ill health but that is still on my 'to-do' list so watch this space!)

    1. Sorry you are having problems as well Aunty Kendal with hair loss...it is not fun is it?! I will have to make do with some hats for a while....as for facing the camera, that is a good idea, but sometimes I am caught unawares while looking at things!

Hope you feel well soon, sorry you have been poorly...we do think of you.

  7. Henry we love you for your personality and the amazing places you take us to, not for your hair! You are such a sweet boy, and I'm certain your problem will be solved sooner or later.
Meanwhile, have Mummy make you some stylish hats.
    (Great puzzle!)

  8. So very sorry Henry has lost more hair and that it has been so difficult to find a match for a rerooting. He is such a nice and good boy and I hope you find the perfect color for him! Hang in there Henry!!! :) xxx

  9. Henry, You look great with or without hair. Think how fashionable the shave head look is for men these days. Don't worry about something you can't do anything about. And, I want to add that all of us here in NZ think your jumper is to-die for! Your friend, Angelo
