Busy, busy, busy today sewing in my studio and experimenting with different styles and patterns. I know I said I wasn't going to make anything else with my gingham fat quarters, but I just couldn't resist trying again. This time I thought I'd make the skirt of the dress straight with a centre pleat.
It does seem to work okay.
I love the blue floral bodice.
Next up is spots and flowers. Trying a different style bodice that I drew this morning.
Very pretty.
I'm pleased with how this turned out. It is good to experiment.
Next up is rather a mix of oranges and yellows and even pink!
Perhaps too much, perhaps not...I just need to find some pretty pink buttons for the front of the bodice and they will bring out the pink in the skirt a bit more.
Rather daring!
Amber looks so good in navy blue, I thought I would try her in the dress I made the other week.
Oh please don't slouch!
She looks a little apprehensive I think.
