Monday's Sewing & Showing

While away with my son in Southampton I finished a jumper dress I was knitting for Sasha.

Very snug and warm for these cooler days.  Will make her some leggings for when it gets even colder.

Today I made a dress for Amber.

These fabric is 100% cotton of a soft fleece type feel to it and is lovely and warm.

Yes Emily, you can stop showing off, we have already seen you in this dress.

The three girls braved the wind..

I'm really not at all happy with my sewing at the moment.  I can't decide whether I am just too fussy, or whether everything I touch lately turns to mush... I think a bit of both! I have such plans, and just don't seem to have the time.

Autumn Swap Gifts arriving...

Swap parcels are arriving, Absolutely Sasha has posted about the lovely package she received from Michelle here

Below are the photos of the lovely outfits Absolutely Sasha sent to Michelle.

A Day in Southampton

On Friday Emily and Henry got to spend some time going round the medieval wall in Southampton and learning all about its history.

They found it rather imposing!

And were rather dwarfed by its sheer size.

They did enjoy going on the boats that were near the wall.

After toppling over several times, Henry decided it was safer sitting down...he seemed to have lost his sea legs.

Unlike the time he went into London, this time the playground was free of children and he and Emily got to have a good play on the equipment.

Typical boy, Henry couldn't wait for me to take a photo of him on the slide and decided to go down it before I took the photo!

Ahoy ye sailor

A spot of wind surfing, and yes the wind was blowing!

Isn't this fun Henry, says Emily.

A little modelling by the kids.

I posted these pictures yesterday on my other blog but Emily and Henry insisted that I post them here on 'their blog'.  So apologies for any who may have already seen them...

A winter dress

Henry wearing his new jumper I finished knitting the other evening.

After hearing that Emily and Henry were going to have their pictures on the blog once again, Tilly Rose wanted to get into the act and did some modelling out in the garden.

A final shot in the lounge.

Autumn Leaves

Autumn leaves come tumbling down
Swirling, twirling down they fall
Scrunching, crunching on the ground
Orange and yellow and golden brown
Throw them up and
Stamp them down
Autumn leaves come tumbling down.

Henry has fun with the oak leaves

Autumn leaves provide hours of fun

A new skirt for Sasha

Sasha modelling a new skirt for Autumn.

She insisted on wearing the lace up boots...I tried telling her it really wasn't the weather for them, far too warm...

Just look at that face...my boys give me that look when I've asked them to do something...a sort of silent sigh, you can almost see them thinking 'do I have too'.
