Advent Day Thirteen

Hi Danni, how are you?  I was wondering where you were.  Charlotte says to Danni.

Oh I was just trying to decide what Christmas dress to wear.  Danni tells Charlotte.

My turn today!  Danni says as the girls look for door number thirteen.

Doesn't take eagle eyed Danni long.

She carefully opens it.

Reaches in...

Pulls out a package!

What have you got there?  Charlotte asks..

An Angel!  Danni replies.

Every good Christmas Scene needs an angel doesn't it Charlotte?  Danni says.

It does!  I am so pleased we found the angel.  Charlotte says.

Isn't the angel sweet?  Says Danni as she holds the angel up for all to see.

Now where shall I put her?  Danni ponders.  I know!

The angel is going to push the little pram.  There you go sweet angel.  Danni says as she pops the angel down into the scene.

Perfect!

So what do you think Charlotte?  Do you think the angel looks good with the little pram?  Danni asks.

I do.  Replies Charlotte.  The two girls are very happy.

Happy Halloween

Wishing all our USA friends and those who celebrate elsewhere a......

Sunday, 5 October 2014

It seems there are plans and schemes afoot everywhere!

After yesterday's rain the patio area is still a little wet, but the day is bright and sunny and it seems the girls were first up so that they didn't miss their chance to play outside.

They seem to be on a bit of a mission though...I wonder what is up?

Emily has chosen to ride the skateboard...she is pretty good on it as well.

Little Erica adores Peggy Sue and looks up to her in awe.

Amy is riding the bike whilst there are whisperings between Stevie and Danni who is taking her baby for a walk in the pram.

Cute little baby!

Little Erica is still chatting away.

Peggy Sue is doing her best to answer all the endless questions.

Ziva and Charlotte are waiting for the others to approach as they have something they want to talk about.

Come on!  They call.

The girls all gather round.

Their conversation went something like this....

I think we should have a Halloween party.

But Mum will never allow it.

Yes, but she let us have these dresses...

She said that is 'different'.  We still can't ACTUALLY celebrate Halloween or have a party.

But why?  That seems silly logic to me.

Well you know what Mums are like sometimes.   She said it wouldn't be fair on her big boys if she let us when she never let them.

Well perhaps we could call it something else?  Emily finally suggests.

That is a good idea.   The other girls agree.

I know let's call it a Harvest Party - End of Harvest Party anyway....

They seem to think they might be able to get away with that idea and they all go off to chat about it in their various groups.

Peggy Sue missed out on most of the discussion as Little Erica was too busy chatting to her.

Peggy Sue is very patient.

Emily and Amy decide to continue playing outside on the skate board and bike.

In the meantime.....

Rory is supposed to be helping the boys with their plans, but is too distracted.

He is looking for his frog...but is looking the wrong way.

Turn your head Rory and you will see him poking his head out of the water just behind that greenery.

There he is!

Elsewhere....

There is no distracting the boys though.

Gwilym, Bobby and Henry are busy measuring up.

I think this is the ideal length.  Bobby says.

If we had another four pieces this length we will have a nice flat platform.

Right then, let's get to work.  Both Henry & Gwilym suggest.

A Saturday Afternoon

Danni has been in the garden today looking after little baby Amelia.

A photo of the red head girls in lilac inspired by the lovely Lilac flowers

These lilac blossoms smell wonderful and Amber loves them.

Henry has had the first of his yearly photos in the apple tree.

The tree is full of blossom so promises to be a good season for apples.

Advent Day Twenty Two

Meredith is joined by Sasha and Danni today.

They are looking for the door number 22.

There it is.  Meredith points to the lower right hand corner.

She leans down and opens the little door.

Pulls out the little package and holds it up to show Sasha and Danni.

What sort of animals are they?  She wonders.

I'm not sure,  they reply.  I don't think we get them here.

I think it might be a raccoon.  Meredith tells them.

Perhaps they hitched a ride with Santa?  She suggests.

Well now they are here, we might as well introduce them to the other little animals.  Sasha suggests.

That is a good idea.  Meredith agrees.

I'm going to put mine down here.  Danni says.

The girls put the raccoons down with the hedgehogs and badgers.

There looks to be plenty of food for all the little animals to share.

The raccoons make their way over to say hello to the little hedgehogs and badgers.

The rabbits and mice are enjoying a load of carrots.

The birds are eating from the seed ring.

Meredith poses for her Christmas photo.

Meredith is a Blue Cord girl from 1966 with eyes painted by Kristina.

She has only had two owners, myself and the person I bought her from who had her since new.
