Hi Alex! We love your Crocs. Hope it is another lovely day where you are. it's cold and damp here, boohoo!

Well the weather is pretty changeable here too. Lovely yesterday, rain all this morning, brightening up now.
DeleteParticularly liking the photos of Alex leaning against the bark of the tree trunk. Nice too to see the little pond in full.
ReplyDeleteSeeing his close up facial shots reminds me of why I sometimes get to wondering the reason he is the only Frido/Trendon/Sasha Doll Ltd boy to have eye lashes. After all both females and males have them in real life so why not with the dolls......and, as we most of us know, they are important with the functioning of the eye as a whole, firstly by preventing debris entering the eye and secondly their sensitivity to anything near it automatically makes the eye close so protecting it. (Info left from my Biology A Level!)
The only logical reason that I have been able to come up with is it might have made them look a little too pretty and therefore more like the girls.
Apart from a short period with the yellow painted eyes Gotz didn't bother either with putting eye lashes on any of their dolls.Could this be time saving and expense?
The pond needs tidying up! One of the plants I transplanted died...I had a feeling it might, but thought I would try... Percy has been rummaging around amongst the rocks...but the pond is doing exactly what I wanted it to do, it is a natural habitat for creepies & crawlies and other various pond life. :-)
DeleteI have wondered as well, I do think it was to distinguish between the two, and yes maybe that they felt the boys were too 'pretty' with eyelashes.
I do think like the fact that the boys and girls are distinguished this way and fortunately for these lads, they don't have to worry about debris entering their eyes! :-) A good thing really thinking of all the places Henry has been.
What a gorgeous boy and a very nice garden. Love the pond. Such a great backdrop to a photo session. Lucky you! xxx Karin
