A family reunion!

Henry, what have you done to your hair?  Molly asks Henry

Never mind my hair, have you heard the news?  Henry replies. Sasha is coming home!  Goodness knows why she left in the first place, but I thought you would want to know, you being bestest friends.

Well I don't know about that, as she took some convincing to share her skipping rope at first, but yes we are best friends.  Molly says.

Hey, what is going on?  Rory and Emily ask as they join Molly and Henry.

Henry relays the news about Sasha's imminent arrival.

I've been watching out for the parcel all morning.  Mum was worried she wouldn't be here as she had an ASD meeting to go to.

A parcel arrives...

Henry has a listen to see if he can hear anyone inside it.

Well?  Says Emily.  Is it Sasha?

I'm not sure, replies Henry.  I can hear something though.

Together they open the box.

They all look inside hoping...

Look!  It must be her, the envelope inside says "Mummy, I'm home!"

Quick let's help her get out of all that bubble wrap...don't these people know plastic is bad for children?

Molly, Rory, Henry and Emily quickly tackle the layers of bubble wrap, finally revealing...

Sasha!  It is you! They all exclaim at once.

Sasha stands up...um I'm here, why are you all still looking in the box?

Oh Sasha, I have missed you. Says Molly as she leans in  to help Sasha out.

I have missed you too dear Molly, it is so good to see you. Sasha says as she gives Molly a hug, almost knocking her over!

Sasha turns to look at Henry...Henry, what HAVE you done with your hair?  She asks.

Never mind my hair, he replies.  It is good to see you.

Happy children together again.

With many thanks to Emma H, who helped this happy reunion come about.  Sasha left here late last year.  A reluctant sale and one I regretted once I saw her on Evilbay a couple of weeks later.  Unbeknown to me at the time Emma bought her not long after that listing was seen.  I realised just this week that Sasha was for sale once again...now what else did that tell me, but that she wanted to come back home!  A few emails later and all was arranged.  I can't even begin to say how pleased I am to have my very first Sasha back home with me.  Never again will she leave!

Thank you Emma. :-)

  1. Young humans have gap years. Sasha obviously had a gap few months and never really left permanently. She was just traveling around and finding herself. Now she's found herself back home.
    Congratulations on tracking her down!

  2. That is the cutest story ever! I love it! I'm so glad she's home too! (I was really wondering why one incoming doll was named "Sasha" and all the others have different names, but that makes sense)

My Sasha's are all named "Sasha"! Except Gregor, and my first baby (now lost and in pieces, who was named David. But the girls got a new "name" each time we played with them. I don't know why we did it that way- I think we liked picking out new names all the time.

  7. Love this story, it would be tough to part with our first Sasha, she looks to be a puddle eyed pumpkin string? A guess please correct me if I am wrong. XOXO~C

  9. Looks like there was quite a welcoming home party being had there. I can see that she was really loved and well thought after by all there.

Loved the wrapping on the box, one sure way for it not to have got lost in the crowd!

My first Sasha a Trendon 1975, Red Dress brunette, was eventually sold on but I have to admit that I never missed her as you obviously have yours. (Hope that I'm not becoming an Ice Queen!)

Wishing you many more happy hours together.
