Christmas Countdown - Emily & Sophia

 

Today Emily and Sophia have chosen a Christmas dress each.

Pretty Sophia has chosen one with a toy theme.

Emily is looking good in red.

Two gorgeous girls reading for some seasonal fun!

 

The Girls have started decorating.

Some of the Christmas decorations have been brought down from the loft and the girls are busy decorating the tree.  Mary Ellen and Sophia are working on one...

Lots of decorations to choose from.

Emily is sorting out the sled, and has put a sack in it ready for the wished for presents from Santa.

Molly has got the lights on the other tree

and Sasha has been busy putting the decorations up.

A little bit of work to go yet, but I doubt it will take them long!

Meanwhile, Day Eight has seen Sally choose a Christmas dress.

It matches her JJ shoes.

Christmas Girls Days 1 - 7

The girls have been getting slowly dressed up in their Christmas dresses.  One girl each day:

Day One: Emily 

Day Two:  Sophia

Day Three:  Mary Ellen

Day Four: Molly

Day Five: Sasha

Day Six: Ziva

Day Seven: Liebe

Sunday Summary - this week's knitting and sewing..

Henry is pleased to have a new sweater - it is his little Ruru (or Morepork) sweater and he is going to have a hat to match it.

'Ball Game' jacket.  Knitted with some of my lovely New Zealand Merino wool

Some new balls of yarn were bought (even though I am supposed to be using my 'stash' only, this variegated wool is such fun)

Of course once bought, I couldn't wait to start knitting with it.

A Christmas sweater

A dress for Maddison.  She thinks this will be a fabulous dress to wear to Peggy Sue's birthday party.

'Mango Sunrise' this dress is available to purchase - will be on my 'Muriel Makes' Facebook page as well as in my Etsy shop (or can be purchased direct from me via my blog)

The light is so bad at the moment it is difficult to get the true colours to show.

Peggy Sue's birthday party dress - she was allowed to try it on briefly for size.  

I have also been busy sewing - although I think it was this that gave me a huge pain flare up earlier in the week.  Must work out what I am doing to cause it.

Five more Christmas dresses have been cut out and are currently 'in progress' - pacing myself with these ones to avoid another pain flare up.

Lastly my Secret Santa Swap has been made and is on its way...

Birthday Party Preparations.

Sophia, Maddison and Emily are discussing Peggy Sue's birthday party preparations.

Henry joins them to see if he can help as well.

Emily suggests he does the decorations, but it seems Henry has other ideas and wants to help with the baking instead.

The girls think this is a grand idea.

Only three days to go and they are all very excited.
