The day finally arrived! The Sasha Celebration Weekend was about to begin!
We arrived mid -afternoon, checked inand dropped our luggage into our rooms before making our way down to the foyer area where everyone was meeting.
Janet did a fantastic job with choosing the hotel.
The grounds were really lovely to walk round.
The rooms were pleasant and clean and had plenty of room.
Bed
Bathroom
Looking back into the room.
Four boys decided to come with me to the weekend.
Rory, Henry, Francis and Gwilym.
We wander down to the Foyer for meeting and greeting.
People started to gather, and of course Sasha talk soon commenced!
Janet spent the whole weekend smiling and was an excellent host.
The best thing about these events is of course meeting up with friends.
Loved the dress on this beautiful Cora!
Once we had all gathered we made our way to the hall where our activities would be taking place.
The raffle table was set up for people to have a look at all the fabulous donations.
The first raffle prize was this lovely lad painted by Janet, who also made his fabulous sailor costume.
I made the rest of his wardrobe.
Some fantastic prizes
and a bit thank you to all who donated.
The raffle tickets were drawn on the Saturday and will be featured in tomorrow's blog post.
Janet had a wonderful display set up of her Studio Doll Project.
To see them all together was fantastic, such amazing talent and an inspiring project indeed..
Lots of photos coming up of all the dolls.
A couple of Janet's lovely Little Poppet dolls were also at the festival and it was wonderful to see these dolls in real life - they feel wonderful to hold!
The evening dinner was very enjoyable and another great chance to socialise.
Henry enjoyed getting reacquainted with Laura (whom he met up with last summer for the Cowboys and Country themed day with DollMum and her lovely daughter). They enjoyed a drink of sparkling water.
After dinner the 'kids' enjoyed getting together and played a few games.
Eventually culminating in....
They like they are having fun!
Come back tomorrow to see what fun we got up to on Saturday...crafts, raffle & dinner.
