Sasha Dolls 2016

So I did manage to reduce the number of Sasha dolls that entered Rose Cottage this year... however we won't talk about the non-Sasha dolls that DID enter the house!

Two boys, Two Course, One Repaint and One baby - so a total of six dolls.

All of which have been introduced with the exception of the baby which I bought at the Sasha Festival this year - seems I never completed blogging about the Sasha Festival - must have run out of steam - so forgot all about her!

Clicking on the names will take you to their introduction posts.

Jasmine, my 'Dream' Course girl

Maddison - my main modelling girl at the moment and the lead singer of the 'Rose Hip Chicks'

Donny - the new boy.

Jessica - the red head Course girl

Edward - relieved to be back in boys clothing!

Baby Meike  - who sadly didn't get a formal introduction as I got her at the Sasha Festival and for one reason or another never quite finished my Festival posts!

So a few more photos of her.

She was mint in her tube, and is very sweet.

I love her whole outfit.

Plus her pretty soft features.

Next year things are changing in many ways - or at least that is the plan.  Some, perhaps more than a few, dolls will be looking for homes and leaving for pastures new.  It will probably be a slow process as I don't want to rush into such changes.  I am looking forward though to putting the ideas I have been and am still formulating into practice and seeing the results. I am looking forward to amalgamating my blogs and making things a bit easier and thus more enjoyable to me.

I am really hoping that 2017 is going to be my year of 'Less is More'

Advent 2016 - Day Six

Edward and Henry are enjoying the Lego Advent Calendar

Henry is setting up the stage

Edward is playing with the snowmen.

Emily finds them playing early this morning.

Oh, how exciting, this is different.  She says. Can I open a window today?  I quite like Lego.

Of course.  They both reply.

Now where is window six?

They all look for the window.

Here it is.  Emily says as she climbs on a box to reach over.

Here Emily, I will help you.  Says Edward gallantly.

What is it?  Emily asks.

You have to make it to find out.  Edward tells her.

I still don't know what it is.  She says after she has made it.

Henry comes over to have a look as well.

It looks like a snow plough.  Edward tells her.

I think it should go over here.  Henry suggests.

That is a good idea! Emily agrees.  Look the snow is in front of it now.

Advent 2016 - Day Four

Francis wants to open the window for today and the boys gather round to see what will be behind the little window.

He opens the window

and reaches inside.

I need to sit down to make this.  He tells the boys.

Now how do I get inside this packet?  He ponders.

Gosh, what do I have here?  He asks.

Looks like a body...

Yay, I got a man as well and he is blowing on a trumpet kind of thing.  Francis says as he looks at his creation.

A funny trumpet.  Edward notes...

I'm going to put him down here, with the other guy.  Francis says as he gets down on the floor to put the little man down.

Advent 2016 - Day Three

My turn today. Henry says as he looks for window number three.

Aha, here it is!  He says as he opens the window.

He reaches inside as Gwilym and Edward watch.

More making...this is fun.  Henry says as he looks at the pieces he has to put together.

I wonder what they will be?

A speaker and a microphone!  He says.

Looks like everyone will be able to hear the music...

Advent 2016 - Day Two

Day Two!  Can I open the window today?  Asks Gwilym?

Of course. Henry replies.  See if you can find it.

Here it is!  Gwilym says as he opens the little window.

He has to stretch over the little display to reach it.

Oh, what do you have there?  Henry asks.

Lots of pieces!  Replies Gwilym.

Now how do they go together?  He says as he looks at them.

Ta Da!  You have done it!  Edward says.

Hey, this is pretty cool.  Gwilym states as he looks at the little man holding the guitar.

Looks like it is going to be a musical Christmas!  Funny, though he seems to be a fireman...

A close up of the little Lego man.

The boys put him on the scene and discuss how different it is to their usual Playmobile Advent Calendars.

It is fun making them, but it is a little strange.  Edward says.

Perhaps because we are used to Playmobile.  Henry suggests.

Advent 2016 - Day One

For some reason my photo editing programme AND computer are on a real go slow - we can't work out why and it is driving me crazy.  It has taken me WAY too long to prepare these photos.  At this rate I will still be doing them this time next year!

Anyway...on to the Advent posts.

Day One:

Hi there Henry, it is the 1st December today, do you think we have an Advent Calendar this year?  Edward asks.

We sure do, but I think it might be different this year.... Henry tells Edward.  I overheard Mum saying something about a Lego Calendar...

Ooh, Lego City - this  looks fun, they both exclaim.

Edward gets to open the first window.

Look Henry

I've got to make these!

Now how do they go together?  Edward asks.

The instructions are on the inside of the door.  Henry replies.

Edward concentrates hard as he puts the pieces together.

They look a bit strange, don't they Henry?  Edward says.

I guess they are kind of snowmen.  Henry suggests.

Funny snowmen!  Edward says.
