A Summer Music Festival - Practising.

There is a lot of music going on here at Rose Cottage at the moment...both inside and outside of the house.

Bobby has been practising his guitar in the garden, enjoying the inspiration nature brings him.

Edith has found her flute, much to her relief and is now busy catching up on her preparation with the help of Peggy Sue.

Peggy Sue looks up at her to see her cue for when to start.

Hamish is busy practising his cornet.

Henry waits patiently with his clarinet.

Seems Hamish is going to be playing for a bit longer yet.

Later on Henry accompanies Peggy Sue..

Peggy Sue has been very diligent with her Cello playing.

Anne-Marie joins them on the violin.

A lovely trio of music.

These two girls have been working hard together.  Sometimes the two sisters get on so well and it is good to see them progress.

As to the Sasha girls...I am not sure what has been going on there...but there has been much banging and percussion type 'music' happening...and apparently no one is allowed to know what they are preparing yet...

  1. Thank goodness Edith found her flute, what a relief. They all look like they're very busy practicing which is good, this is going to be a great concert.

    1. Yes thank goodness, that was a relief! They are working hard indeed.

  2. Adorable photos! I love all of the mini instruments. Hamish is such a cutie. :)

    1. Hamish is a cutie...and of course I love all the musical instruments as well - all instruments I play - with the exception of the guitar, could never quite get the hang of playing more than a few chords for basic songs.

  3. Lovely collection of instruments. Your photos show that you know your way around an orchestra. All the kids are positioned so realistically. I'm really enjoying seeing how the practices are coming along, and will be patiently awaiting to see festival photos. What a great idea.
PS is the guitar from American Girl, and if not what brand is it (if you don't mind my asking)? I have been considering purchasing a guitar (or ukulele), and want it to be as realistic as possible,

    1. Thank you Julie.

Yes that guitar is the American Girl guitar (as is the flute) they are wonderfully realistic and I highly recommend one.

  4. wow, what a talented group you have! Mine seem to be good at making a mess and begging for new shoes! lol!! can't wait to see what the "sasha percussion" group is up to!!

Hi, thank you for leaving a comment, we love to hear from you.
