Snow?

Henry got very excited this morning when he saw snow falling....

He put on his coat, hat, gloves and boots and headed on outside.

Hmm....  this doesn't look like much.

How am I going to make a snowman out of this?  There isn't even enough for a snowball!

Henry decides the snowfall was a bit of a non-event and goes back inside where it is warm.

RIP Sara Doggart

Henry comforts Stevie.

It is with much sadness that  we hear that Sara Doggart passed away yesterday 26th January.

Henry and Stevie remember with fondness Sara who along with her husband John were responsible for their 'birth', the manufacture of the wonderful Sasha Dolls at Stockport during the whole time of production.

All the Sasha and Gregor family here at Rose Cottage would like to send their condolences to the Doggart family and also send  a message of thanks for their determination in producing such a wonderful doll that brings enjoyment and delight to so many.

Ahoy there Sailor

Having a son in the Merchant Navy, I couldn't resist getting a Sailors Uniform for Rory.

This great outfit is made by Vicky Chapman and I think Rory looks fabulous in it.

A young boy sailor.

His two siblings....Rory and Ginger George - who is also wearing an outfit made by Vicky

Henry goes outside.

Henry has been busy doing the things boys do since Christmas....

Today he enjoyed going out and splashing in the puddles

Looked forlornly out to the sodden garden

Realising that it was simply to wet and muddy to entertain any thoughts of further his tree house.

But the sun was out after a torrential downpour, he had his Wellington/Gumboots on, so thought he might as well do some investigating round the garden.

The daffodils are poking up their heads...

Signs of spring?   Perhaps a bit early yet, but one can always dream!

Happy New Year!

Wishing all my Sasha & Gregor friends a Very Happy & Healthy New Year.

Thank you to all who have supported me with their friendship throughout the year.

I have been wondering what you would like to see on this blog this year.

Do people still want to do swaps?    I only held two last year, the Valentines Swap and the yearly Secret Santa Swap.  Shall I continue holding swaps, or are people not really bothered any more?

If you don't have a blog but would like to see your Sasha or Gregor featured on here let me know as I am more than happy to do that.  Just send me photos and let me know what you would like to write.

I thought I would try and do some planning for various creative projects for this coming year.

Ideas I have so far are:

Continuing Henry & Co.s Tree House Project - put on hold during the winter.

A Sasha/Gregor A Day photo project, perhaps with some sort of theme.

Revamping my Etsy and Folksy Shops that have been dormant for the last year or so....

A wardrobe for the UK Mini Festival Raffle Doll customized by Janet Myhill Dabbs

A collection of outfits (Spring/Summer, Autumn/Winter & Christmas) as my donation for the 2014 Sasha Festival in Texas....not decided if I am going to make for a Sasha or Gregor yet.
