Sasha Festival 2015 - Workshops, Help & Raffle Items.

Friday morning was the time for the workshops, and there was a great selection to choose from.

Sheila held a crochet workshop and had a table or eager participants at the read.

Susanna held an 'Immitation/Fake' Sasha workshop and had an interesting selection of dolls to illustrate her workshop with.

Marti held a workshop on using vintage hankies to make Sasha clothing.  

Heidi showed how to maintain and look after, and repair Sashas. 

Tom held his interesting photography workshop and also had a group of eager participants

Brenda had  a special table set aside for the important younger members of the Festival and lots of fun things happened there... including fun popcorn for the Sashas for ''Film Night'

Diane took a knitting workshop and there were busy hands seen knitting afterwards as well.

The Helper items were set up and there was a huge selection of goodies to put your tickets into in the hope of winning something.   There were three lots of helper drawings in all.

The pictures show the variety of donations that people made for this part of the festival.

Lastly we have the wonderful Raffle Prizes of which there were three to choose from this year.

Lastly the wonderful travelling Sasha who spent time touring round Fort Worth amongst the Bluebonnet Doll Club members.  The talented Sadie produced a wonderful video of her travels for 'Film Night'/

So many amazing goodies.

What is also so wonderful to see at these Festivals is the generosity of all who take part in creating and donating to the various auctions, helpers and raffle items.

Sasha Festival 2015 - Meet & Greet Social

 Between 4pm and 8pm on July 16th the Sasha Festival 2015 officially began!  We all gathered for Registration and then to 'Mix and Mingle.  

Hostesses Ginny Lee, Brenda and Barbara did a fantastic job off welcoming everyone with Ginny Lee in charge of giving out our goodie bags.  (Contents of which will be shown in another post 'festival goodies' )

Poor Barbara had hurt her leg badly only the week before and was worried she wouldn't be able to make it to the festival, but sister Brenda was not going to let her get out of it that easily!  A wheelchair was organised and a team of volunteers to help her get around.  She did amazingly well as I believe at times she was in a considerable amount of pain.

The 'Mix and Mingling' started in earnest....

It was so lovely to see a great bunch of children at the festival and I am pretty sure they all had a fantastic time!

The bags were laid out for the bag competition and there were some very talented entries - all vastly different and creative.

This was the winning bag - complete with cowboy outfit!

We gathered for the Texas Social Meal and Entertainment...  Some of got to try food we hadn't experienced before, or certainly that was the case for me with the Frito Pie and S'Mores.

   We had an enjoyable time getting to know different people through the 'find' your pinata owner.  We all had to pick a little Pinata and underneath they each had a number and we had to reunite the little Pinata with their new owner to be.

I wonder if this little baby is going to want to give up their little Pinata?

Brenda telling us about the Pinata challenge.  It worked really well and whilst going about the room I believe that we all got to meet new people and renew old acquaintances. 

This was fun as during the process of trying to find the person to whom my numbered Pinata belonged I also met two 'Hitty Girls'  and they both had their first carved Travel Hittys with them as well.   

Hitty Madge was delighted to meet them both.   

It was great to chat with them about both Hitty and Sasha.
