I have been dressing up the lads today in either costumes I have made or ones that have been either given to me, or a Sasha Festival Souvenir Outfit.
Left to Right: Simon is wearing the Engine Driver Outfit I made for Henry in 2012. Next to him is Daniel wearing the Beetles Outfit made for the 'Dress A Sasha' Competition 2014, Peter is wearing this years Sasha Festival Souvenir Outfit. Pierre is wearing Henry's Harry Potter Outfit which was a 'Back to School Swap Gift' from 2013 and on the right is Nigel wearing Henry's 'King Henry V' outfit I made for the 2012 'Dress A Sasha' Competition, complete with cart that I also made.
Charlotte and Erica Michelle are wearing the outfits I made for the 'Dress a Sasha' Competition 2013 based on dresses my Mum made my sister and I. Next to them are the twins Connor and James who haven't dressed up in anything as yet....
Sweet sisters.
Some great costumes in your collection, really creative. I loved your Henry V ensemble, the entries at the 2012 festival were of a very high standard and yours stood out. I'm so glad you won the Dress a Sasha at the 2014 festival. I'm guessing that Erica Michelle is an Esther. I wonder what the twins will find to wear in your costume collection.
ReplyDeleteYes 'Erica Michelle' is an Esther. She was named after Erica in NZ who used to own her and of course my sister Michelle :-)
DeleteNot sure what the twins are going to wear yet as they usually insist on wearing the same outfits, so that is going to be difficult to fulfil!
she is not one you will part with then as she is very special. The twins could wear complementary costumes, not necessarily identical, maybe that will help.
DeleteDefinitely not, she is very special. Have already thought what the twins could wear...will run it by them tomorrow ;-)
DeleteGreat idea for your Bank Holiday Weekend Sasha/Gregor playtime! My fav. is the King Henry V with the Beatles in second place.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing what outfit the twins find to put on.
That is my favourite as well Kendal. :-) A lot of effort went into studying the costume and then designing and making it.
DeleteA lovely post Lorraine. I love seeing the different outfits on your dolls. I especially love the outfits that you made that so exactly look like the dress you and your sister wore as children. I remember seeing them in Cincinnati and they are just lovely. Thank you for sharing again! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you Ginger. It was so difficult finding the 'right' fabrics for the sisters dresses. :-)
